As Divya Sharan sir has cleared the odometer term to you, how many kms have you covered with these tyres plus are these stock tyres, i mean which came with the vehicle or you have changed them in between, all of the tyres have got shelf life, that's whether you use them or not tyres will pass there best once that shelf life is over, shelf life is somewhat 3 to 4 yrs depending on the manufacuter, i think your bike tyres has gone hard and hence they have cracked as i said earlier get your tyres checked from inside, take your bike to a tyre shoppe or puncturewala get it removed from the rim and check it thoroughly,if you found something more serious from inside change them ASAP.maintain air pressure, may be 1or2psi more.If you want more information regarding tyres contact to divyanshp on this site he will guide you properly, as bro is genius in tyre understanding and knowledge.

And 1 more think I wanted to knw ceat as stop the production of impulse tryes because I cant see it online on ceat website
Online I searched only perreli makes this perfect size tyres like ceat they are the same carbon copies mt60 perreli.
But perreli will be very expensive
And does the time period effect the tyre rubber quality for eg: the tyre manufacturing date is 6 months old
Does it effect on the tyre quality or not
What is right time period we should look before buying

And my brother please note unless one experiments how can he understand? The wd40 and acetone is used by dragsters too and even by a few offroad teams since they are provided with only a handful of tyres for an event and so its something thay have to do on spot if required, if the tyre can handle that pressure and punishment ours should too, I just did to understand it. it was done with a spare tyre. And it was clearly mentioned not to attempt to do this. It was something that I wanted to share,
The cutting treads was posted by another member and he was made to understand the cons.he understood too. People are here to learn only.
Also mate the tyre has many layers and this is superficial crack. It is in no way going to blow up and cause a huge accident I will guarantee this for that member also he has been adviced to seek a replacement but claiming warranty is not so easy na:P best would be to change the tyre and tube after every puncture but not everyone can do that.
I hope you understand that we all want this forum to be the best it can, but controlling what people talk or share is wrong (unless its OT)
Im not here to pick fights and I am very sad I am posting this.
To keep the thread clean I will not comment on this particular topic.
You may.
Cheers!

Tyres sometimes do get crack or develop cracks over the course of there journey, it dosen't necessarily means that they are gonna burst, moreover the member was advised to get the tyre checked thoroughly from inside and if he finds something serious than he must change the tyre instantly, most of the experienced members on this forum give brilliant advice and in no way they want to hurt anybody, moreover if a member is experimenting something its our duty to encourage him be it the softening of tyre or cutting treads on new tyres(although this man is not the member of this forum and shouldn't have been discussed by me) but with it also alert him so that he must not hurt himself, becaue he is our buddy our brother. And if somebody is able to experiment on some things then God has delievered him with this special ability of getting into the unknown and we should encourage him but with Caution.

Same applies to Logic, ain't it ?
Also mate the tyre has many layers and this is superficial crack.
Tiny cracks on the usable surface of the tyre can be understood, but on a fairly new tyre, such deep side wall cracks are not encouraged. If you are refering to the minute cracks that crop up due to aging is different, thats a different story altogether.
It is in no way going to blow up and cause a huge accident I will guarantee this for that member
You can guarantee that??? If you say so, then I can only pity your ignorance.
Also he has been adviced to seek a replacement but claiming warranty is not so easy na:P best would be to change the tyre and tube after every puncture but not everyone can do that.
Change the tyre itself for 1 Puncture ??? :surprise: Did i read anything out of context here?

Claiming warranty is not such difficult a thing as it used to be earlier.
Reply in bold.
Can someone not be polite with logic?
Claiming warranty on tyre is easy! Then my friend please help the guy out. Claiming warranty anywhere be it your engine or your tyre is not easy. Period.

-I am not here to pick up fights with anybody related/Not related with the forum. Neither do I have time and patience for texting members to encourage them to be a Keyboard warrior.
-I would definitely help the guy out if he is located in/Around Bangalore. Have done it in the past and will do it in future too, if the problem is Genuine.
-Yes the forum is a platform for exchange of information, but if the information share is against the safety of the member(Self/vehicle) , then im sorry, can't buy that. So I questioned with no intentions of making personal "fight" as you are terming.
-And regarding warranty claim , you can claim warranty if the cause is genuine, its no big deal off late . Have claimed for the MRF Zapper FS Tyre personally(IIRC was updated on the thread too), hence said so. Also two weeks back claimed warranty for a Car Tyre because of Tyre burst, almost 1000 kms away from home . It was updated on the forum too. So I could co relate that incident to what it would have been like had it been on a two wheeler. Hence from the safety aspect, told him not to use it.
So Mods, if you feel there was any personal remarks eligible to foster hatred, then please go ahead and delete.

Re: Tyres
I am currently restoring my rxz and I would like to know what are the best tyres that I could go for. I like to go for 2.75x18 and 3x18 for the rear. I am a city rider who does 50 to 70 speed all the time .
I am thinking of Michelin m 62 gazelle at the front and Michelin m45 As they are suggested by a friend. Are they good ? If not what are the best tyres I could go for ?YOU CALL IT MADNESS,WE CALL IT RX

Those are the best tyres I ever used a long time ago.
But brother those tyres are impossible to find and I think m45 was 3.5 not your stock size.
Try these
Front- mrf zapper fs 2.75/18
Ceat secura zoom 2.75 / 18
Rear:- michelin sirac street 100/18(2100rs)
Ceat gripp 3/18(1700rs)
Ceat vertigo 3/18 (2000rs)
you cant go wrong with any of these hope it helps
(Front is about 1450 to 1600 rs)
Prices are kolkata indicated and tube type tyres inclusive of tubes and fitting charges
Easiest tyres to find. All will be readily available. The tubeless vertigo is out of stock everywhere
