I suppose, Bullets come with spoked wheels, And I think we do not have such specific tires. spokewheels might be needing proper seals around the intersection of spoke and rim, which is tough job to do. You can try with soft compound tires with tube, But going by weight of bullets, they might have lesser span of life.

R15 tires if good option for any 17" wheel, But need to compromise on gravel and slush else..its a dream on wet and dry roads.

I have no problems in upgrading to alloys, but I need an all weather tyre, good on gravel, water and mud/slush. Life of the tyre ir not much of a concern compared to safety. Because its not gonna be used much, so anyhow the tyre is going to last for a long time.

          1. Is there actually any way to know how much side wall height is sufficient?
          2. Is it fine if instead of 2.75 - 18 is replaced with 80/80 or 80/90

Thanks a lot but you have answered only half my query. Here i ask it again thinking it went out of your mind.

          3. If the conversion is not possible , how do we know which tyre with nomenclature 2 can be used instead of or replace a tyre with
          nomenclature 1.

          4. From when will the Sirac be available

The Michelin India website is not working at the moment .
Is there any other site where we can read a detailed description of the Tyres Types like what ride conditions should be M series used on and and what conditions the Sirac ?

1.About 15-20 % variation to OE size is acceptable.

2.Yes both sizes can be used as alternate. 80/90 is better than 80/80.

3.I think you still were not able to understand my last reply to your query even though I have taken time to explain in great detail. I mentioned in my last post that even though "EXACT" conversion is not possible since sidewall profile is always 100 % in nomenclature (eg. 3.00 18 has a 3 inch sidewall), You can convert this into mm and find out the tyre width and tyre sidewall height in mm. If these are in 15-20 % of the OE size then it should acceptable and can bes used.

          4. New shipment of Sirac should be here in Sep 1st week.

We are in the process of building a website. There is a seperate website for Michelin tyres sold in North America, but it is specific to that market.

            • @GoGreen: Are there any 120 section tyres for the Pulsar-200? I was just contemplating getting the rear (which is a 120/80 - 17"), and if possible, the front (which is a 90/90 - 17") changed to Michelin.

P.S: I am not sure whether Michelin has tubeless tyres. Hence, asking.

Michelin tyres are not Tubeless...but you can use them as tubeless as many others are doing

If not which type of tyres should v buy for best grip on the road?
After how many KMS should v chage our tyres?

                    • Went thru entire thread !Boy that wasa lonnnng one !

                      @GoGreen ,
Hi I have a 3 mth old RTR Refresh with rear disc. I was planning to go for ZapperQ(100/90) or Michelin M45 for rear , as I am not satisfied with the stock rubber. I have shortlisted Michelin M45 . So I wanted to ask , whether 4.00 X18" Michelin M45 will fit properly without doing any mods to swing arm/chain cover / suspension and without affecting handling .Stock rubber is 100/80 for rear . Or should I try in different size. If yes , then which size? Also , I enquired in Pune about Michelin tyres at Darshan tyres , those guys said Michelin has stopped providing Two-wheeler tyres in India. .But I will try at the shops that are mentioned by you in some prevous replies .

                      Thanks

                        Dear bikerboysyd,

                        - 4.00 18 M45 is the correct size for the rear of your bike.
                        - 4.00 18 availability maybe a a problem. In case you find it with any Dealer, great. Fresh stocks expected to be available b 1st week of Sept.
                        - Do let me know who you spoke to at Darshan. Write to me at [email protected]

The answer to your last question.

Around 20,000 - 25,000 kms should be expected from a rear tyre under normal city riding conditions. The front tyre will last slightly longer than the rear.

Michelin offers 120/90 17 Sirac which can be fitted without any modification in the Pulsar 200. It is a tube type tyre as pointed out by inder.cool.

                                thanks a million da

                                according to this particular chart
                                100 / 90 is 3.25 / 3.50

but according to the conversion Mr . GoGreen gave
                                100 / 90 can be approximated to 4.00

                                its quite contradictory
the site has rounded everything down

                                @ Mr GoGreen
please check and tell whether the chart is a correct one or not
