Asked a Contact at MRF, he quoted approximately 1800/- for this tyre. So will buy from my regular shop. 1400/- seems too cheap. Might be fake one.

Guys how much will be the difference between the tyre size 80/100 (Unicorn) and 90/80 (R15v2)?

My friend has a Unicorn Dazzler and wants to know if the R15v2's tyre will have any ill effects on the handling of his bike.

The side wall of R15 V2 tyre will be bit less, 8mm to be exact and the width or the contact patch will increase by 10mm. This is not much of a difference and can easily be fitted for Unicorn. R15 V2 tyres are great and can buy them blindly.

Thanks for the help[emoji28]. The dealer actually suggested 100/80 (FZ) but my friend was adamant about getting the v2 tyre after riding a friend's R15[emoji23] .

I think 100/80 will be too wide for replacing 80/100 tyre. Side would be same as stock though! Better stick with 90/80.

You might feel lesser acceleration and mileage. On the other hand, grip can improve provided you choose the correct tyre.

First you should check if fitting a 150 onto the rim is even possible.

I don't need speed or acceleration. Milage matters to me but grip is main priority. Specially one with good grip for rainy weather.

Thank you for reply, I've checked 150/70 fit on it's rim. Will check if 150/80 fit too.

I suggest going for 130/70 or 80. But the problem with REs are the 18 inchers.
I feel 150 will be overkill.

How come 150 will be extremely bad? And what's the problem with 18 inches? Stock tyres are also 18 inches if I'm not wrong.

The rims in TB350 does not support 150mm profile tyres. If you do manage to put it, it will be way to bulge and the contact point to the road reduces making it to have less friction and therefore less grip. As the weight increases, the mileage will drop. I suggest your 110 or 120 at the max and do not go beyond that. Good 18" tyres with 150mm or 130mm is hard to find, 17" are has lot of options. You can go for CEAT Vertigo Rage 120/80 18 which has abundant grip, good cornering and a multipurpose tyre. But it's really hard to find this tyre. MRF meteor mogrip seems to be good but not great, which is also a multipurpose tyre.
