You paid too much for the tyres, in Delhi they are available for rs 4650 on multi brand stores and for 4900(1900 front and 3000 rear) on MRF exclusive dealers.
      Peace

Yeah - possibly in next month or so, before a long ride i will get these changed. Btw, got the leaking puncture repaired for now.

Revz S costs between Rs 3000 and Rs 3300 in various MRF T&S and Exclusive stores in Thiruvananthapuram.
MRF has given their branded stores an authorised price range, the stores can sell the tyres at any price within in the predetermined range. So the prices are different at different stores.

            • Re: Rear Tyre for pulsar 180 classic

Im looking to replace the rear tyre of my pulsar 180 classic. I had decided to go for the stock size off roading tyres since i would be doing lot of ghat rides.

Help me with my choices please.
              1) MRF MoGrip Meteor 100/90-18 (Couldnt get a price quote from local dealer as of now. should be close to 3k. Any ideas abt latest price?)
              2) Michelin Sirac Street 100/90-18 (Costs around 2200 with warranty)

Surprisingly Michelin is cheaper. So that makes me doubt about its quality!

Any one using Michelin Sirac? Heard/read any reviews of it? good / bad?
Or should i just go for the MRF MoGrip? even though its costly, just cuz its tried widely by many and proven. I had experienced my self in one of my friends bike.
              Ride Safe!

              Cheers,
              Maneesh S

.please suggest tyres for 200 Ns which are value for money (just like the bike ).
                Conditions-
1.Roads are full maintained tarmac with only 2-5% potholes.
                2. Range is max 5.5-6k .N othing that is Eurogrip. But No metz, pirelli needed.

%%Sorry i have been out of touch from biking world for quite a while and therefore asking a old que again. Please suggest if any new models of reputed companies which can provide best grip and best price are launched. Also please mention approx rate.
                Thank you very much.

Go for the MRF Revz. They are the best bet. Both front and rear together would cost you around 5.5k.

Changed tyres yesterday. I opted for the same MRF tyres as my previous ones which lasted me a shade short of 15000km, so installed Rear 150/60-17 Revz C and Front 110/70-17 FC. Total cost Rs.5600/-from Laxmi Tyres opposite PMC gate. This dealer is my preferred MRF shop as they have a tyre changing machine which changes both front and rear tyres instead of relying on others who usually do a manual chnge which damages the rim. Got the Tyre Protector treatment done as well to eliminate punctures for a total cost of Rs.1750/-.

I am not sure about RevZ but by the looks of it should be good.I have the zapper S and its a terrible tyre.gravel and wet grip is almost non existant.also during emergency breaking tyres tend to skid a lot.anyone Had the same experience with zapper s.

My FZ16 has RevZ in the rear and the Zapper S for the front.

I hit the twisties (Srisailam/Ananthagiri/Ahobhilam/Nellore) and I have used the rear till a centimeter is left and the grip is excellent. I have taken corners pushing the FZ to the limit of the FZ as I tend to believe. Its a medium compound (more inclined towards softer side - high number of punctures)

The feedback from the Zapper S is good. I never had issues with braking.

They are not that bad IMO. Now I've now used the Pirelli/Michelin etc brands so I cannot comment on how this fares. But i'm guessing the Pirelli must be da bomb based on what everyone says.
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Yes perelli is killer and the grip is awesome.I test drive Mojo and it had perellis.what awesome grip it had even in gravel.I was spell bound! May be coz its soft compound .but I think the tyres won't last long.
The dry grip is pretty decent on Zapper S but on gravel its very bad for me.

I had tried RevzS 130 size on my pulsar 220 and yes +1 to its Cornering ability , but the grip is not that awesome and tyre tend to skid ..
Now I am using Irc road winner Rx-01 both front and rear awesome grip straight line stop only on rear or front. Awesome cornering and its made in thailand soft compound tyres... I have used this only on dry tarmac no wet surface ..

I don't know how to define gravel exactly (sand on road or sandy road )but .... What I'm going to say next will sound pretty darn dumb ...

In situations when I know that the front will give in even in upright straight position, I feather the front but its the rear I prefer to use. The Zappers are bad in such situations while the fat ReVZ manages to hold on better. I can control a rear slide better than the front by standing on the pegs (easy to exit too).

As for the Mojo tyres, I was told that the Pirelli's on those actually hold up very good and last long ... and not that very expensive with the dealers willing to sell to non Mojo owners :-)

The FZ comes with RevZ Y while the Gixxer has a RevzM with a broader pattern on the side wall while being softer than the RevZ Y (IMO).

Yes that's even how I manage .using front very less and rear more.by gravel I mean a little sand on road or small pebbles.
I think the mojo tyres cost 12k approx (not sure though)
