  • Re: Tyres

What caused these cracks at regular intervals? Is it due to riding with low tyre pressure? I was riding the bike @24-33psi pressure since air was constantly leaking from two punctures. I had ordered a new tyre 2 months ago,its still unavailable.
Strangely, These cracks appeared only on the right side of the rear tyre only. Left side is completely okay.

There is no destination, I just want to keep riding.

i have attached the image of the reversed front axle , will it cause any problem?

Why would you want to downsize the tyre? Anyway, front tyre does not affect performance.. You may feel a little change in handling and speedo reading because of change in profile of tyre.. but hardly any change in performance.
Installing axle in opposite direction won't be a problem.. I have first hand experience on my bike :P

Has anyone installed 110/70-17 Mrf FC1? I am unable to find it anywhere nearby. Not even mrf. When i try to google FC-1, all i find is reviews by different blogs and news websites.

My stock ZMR tyres are done. I've changed the front to a CEAT tyre (had to change it ASAP as the bike was wobbling from the front)

I've ordered PSD 110/90-18 for rear. The question is, is it worth getting a PSD on the rear when you have a CEAT in the front? I need good wet grip and ability to do some good curves.

In my past 30K on stock tyres I hated how the rear MRF behaved in hard or wet braking, but never had a complaint for the front MRF.

                • How is Michelin Pilot Sporty 100/80 for Yamaha Fazer v1 as front tyre replacement.

My stock Mrf zapper fx 100/80 r17 is now having punctures from normal small pins. I think the tyre is on the way of dying and the threads are 25% remaining on it (21k km on odo).
I was googgling for some time and found michelin pilot sporty 100/80 r17 from snapdeal at 1984 (with delivery charges).
Is it worth fitment replacing from stock mrf to michelin, or whether to stick to mrf.
I live in Kolkata where roads are not so good. I travel mainly on normal roads with few potholes and weekend highway trips sometimes.
Road grip and wet grip is concerned.
                  Please advice!!
                  Regards

I assume you're using an FZ and this is your front tyre. 21K kms. is good enough.
My advice is to stick to the stock tyre based on the groove pattern. Not that Pilot Sporty isn't good, but stock is best. ☺
On another note, the same size is the rear spec for R15 V1 and I changed mine today!
                    Quench my thirst with gasoline!

If you can find thailand made pilot sporty its pretty good tyre.
