As from past two months i was hunting for 120/80 18 TL for my zma...as none of them were available from ceat or mrf. But luckily got one from CEAT.

MRF are running short in market..

Hope u find your desired tyres...Good luck.

    Hi Kety,

Thanks for the help. the 100/90 - 18 TL is a normal fit for a unicorn rear tyre. please advise if I have to go for a broader wheel alloy rim for the upsize

If you are going for 100/90 then u dont need to change the rim or alloys. The stock alloys can handle it. But make sure to buy a good round shaped tyre.

If to take my advice go for ceat zoom if you can find TL in 100 section. The tyre has got good threads and seems can take off roading too (taking the road conditions in India)..

I have a Honda Trigger, covered 19000 kms. Its rear tyre is mrf zapper 110/80 17 TL. Have any other tyre available for replacing? Found more tyres in 100/90 17 like ceat. Can I replace my tyre with 100/90 17 TL. Any other suggestion ?

Hey Pradeep, u can surely go ahead n put those TL tyres. There is no harm in adding those. Just make sure do it with experienced dealer. As the alloy needs to be drilled little for the tubeless nozzle to fit in...Good luck.

A quick question, Is there a possibility of Tyres that are brittle with age but not used for even 20,000 kms to cause a front wheel wobble ( severe). I do know that rims can also be the culprit, but this has been ruled out and the handle and cone-set do not have any play. The scooter in question 10 year old activa

I have seen this happen for my friends maruti 800 and the wobble and sound disappeared after he had new set of tyres put in, so wondering if the tyres are the main culprit

My tyre is tubeless. Can I use 100/90 17 in a rim with 110/80 17 as stock. Is 10 mm less width of a tyre cause any air leak?

No 10 mm wont cause any air leak. But i don't understand this, y do u want to downgrade your tyre?

110/80 17 mrf is the stock tyre, which is not available here. TVS tyre is the another option, but I don't like it. Upgrading tyre size may not fit correctly because of full chain cover.

So the shortages of mfr tyres is everywhere... Well i think upgrading to 120 section tyre wont b an issue..as u already had 110 sec..but there are lot of options available for 17" rims..not like my zma's 18"...

If you have deep pockets then you can go for pirelli or michelin...these tyres are soft compound (i guess) and are very sticky..but comes with short life of 16/17k..

If not then go for ceat zoom 120 sec tyres...I upgraded to them from my stock mrf zapper which was 100 sec n they were easy fit as i dont have chain cover, i used MRF for 60k..such is my use..ceat zoom has very round profile and i believe can easily fit on your rims..

Quick update guys, got 110/90 18 Zapper Q for the rear for my Hunk, but yet to find proper front tyres to match, dealers are indeed running out of stock in case of MRF! not sure what the issue is. Since the rear is wider now I want something equally good for the front, would 90/90 be perfect? I am not looking for agility, but need some very round profile ones to complement the rear during trackdays.

                                Hi friends,

                                I have a weird query.

I have a Honda Dream Neo. Can I fit a block pattern tyre (like MRF meteor, Ceat vertigo, Michelin sirac) as a rear tyre and a directional round profile tyre (zapper, ceat zoom, TVS 525 M) as a front tyre. Does the difference in tread of front and rear tyre affect the stability of the bike.?

If I use MRF meteor tyre in the rear, What are the options for front tyre? Please advise.

                                PS - front tyre is 2.75 -18
                                - rear tyre is 3.00 - 18
