For the front go for the 90/ 17 mrf revs (r15 v2 front tyre) it is a soft compound tyre.
And for the rear go for (irc 110/17, mrf r15 v1 rear tyre, the dazzlers rear tyre)
All these are soft compound tyres... wont last you too long.. but you have irc's currently....why not get the same wasa wrong with them?

I want to know which brand will be better MRF or Michellin & is it good to use 140/70-17 instead of 130?
Suggest the tire model's if you know too.
Michelin is a good choice to go, currently doing duty in one of my bikes, the Pilot Sporty, is a good tire, round profile, corner inspiring and good road grip. MRF on the other hand for the rear is a cheap workable combo. You see most of the MRF Zapper series are semi soft series, not pure soft compound ones, so that last quite a while and offer satisfactory grip. Also, never upsize if you're a short rider, upsizing almost makes the bike even more taller, which equates to tippy toes in traffic and especially a hassle with pillion. Just a word of caution.

        Cheers!

Yes michelins are better than mrf zappers but not the mrf revs
          Mrf revs are soft compound
I will advice you agaonst the piolot sporty becauce rainy season is approaching soon and unless you live in a verydry place with good tarmac pilot sporty will be a death trap

            Hi guys,

Pls have a look at the photos of my 4 year old stock rear tyre of GS150R and tell me whether it needs to be replaced.

The bike is just 15K kms old and has seen 3 tubes replacement(rear) so far with more than 10 punctures.

From day 1 I fill tyre pressure as per manual 25 front and 29 or 33 rear. Not a single puncture in font tyre but rear has issues.

After last tube change I have done 4 punctures and then very next day another puncture happened. So now bike is stalled in garrage.

Pls tell reasons for such issues and whether I should replace the tyre since there are so many holes now..

                Hi chiragwarm
Your tyre treads arenin good nick.
But you have suffered a lot of punctures.
You changed so many tubes.... bes option would be to go for tubeless tyres because you have alloys.
If you could tell me wheather it is an 18 inch or 17 inh wheel I will be able to suggest the best tyre fore your usage.
What kind of roads do you face? Good tarmac? Off road kind of paths or a mixed kind?

Ps:- sorry for all the typos I have graduated from a blackberry to a touh scrren tablet

Yea treads are good but I'm tired of punctures.
My tyre size is Rear 100/90-18 M/C 56P
I live in Mumbai and it is really hot in here plus roads are in their worst conditions mostly mixed kind. I ride only 2-3kms till railway station and that route has a lot of traffic so much braking.

I should switch to Tubeless tyre or just sell off the bike and buy a non geared bike. Im tired of punctures.
You get my frustration I hope.
But do suggest me a tyre

Yes yes obviously not in all cases but most zappers now a days are hard compound (not all)
And mst michelins are medium compounds (again not all)

                      To chiragwarm
                      Hehehe yes I understand
Now I think gs is an awesome bike but the low end torque in traffic is a worry but its not that bad.
You say roads are bad so a gearless scooter goes out of the question.
Try to source a "michelin sirac street 100/18" its a tube type (dont worry)
Compound is fairly medium and will give excellent grip, it dosent get punchered easily, its fairly not costly (2100 odd bucks with tube and fitting) its well rounded, has the pattern of a semi off roader but is good on tarmac too. Its the stock size but looks a bit bigger and is excellent in rains amd slush. The best tyre for mixed to bad road in my opinion. Try it, its really that good.
Go for medium to hard compound tyres sice your roads are pathetic.
                      Michelin sirac street 100/18 perrrrrrfct!

                        Thanks for the reply.

Im getting Sirac at Rs. 2211 from tyreonwheels.com with 3 years warranty. Dont know what the warranty is really about.

Also that website is offering my stock tyre but tubeless at Rs. 2450

I will meet this sardarji in my area and check if he keeps Sirac and try to negotiate.

Even I dont understand what the point is of warranty on tyres. Its really just there for manufacturing defects. But go forth eith the tyre in tubeless form if it is available.
Some people put valves etc and make a tule type tyre as a tube less. Please do not do that.

But the thing is that RevZ tyre are bigger front 110/70 and rear 150/60 comparing to 200 NS front 100/80,rear 130/70.So just wondering what the upsize tyre will do to my ride.I know there'll be drop in mileage, better cornering performance, heavier to manouver (just a lil' bit) but i'm stuck with power performance.
