Re: Tyres
Hey guys i wanted to know would the MICHELIN PILOT STREET RADIAL be a good fit for my duke,my main criteria is good grip on dusty roads as i am into chemical marketing and so most of my riding is in industrial areas and the roads out there are very dusty-muddy and the stock duke MRF REVZ-C tires suck out there as they offer almost zero grip on those kind of roads n so bcoz of that i have faced many not so pleasant experiences on my bike. So i just wanted to know would the michelins be any better in those conditions comapared to stock duke tires????? n ya i also compared the REVZ-C n STREET RADIAL side by side and although there is hardly any difference between both of them as respect to size on paper as MICHELIN is 140/70/17 n MRF is 150/60/17 but still in real the difference between both of them in width n height seems to be drastic. Here are the pics, plz check them n reply as to would the michelins be almost like a perfect fit for my duke as the width n height difference according to me is a lot

Have you checked if the tyre would seat properly on your rims since your downsizing and the width is gonna be lesserYes even AFAIK downsizing the tyre in a bike which is known for high performence will prove to be costly at times than upsizing. 150 size is the perfectly designed for Duke by MRF(may suck big time in puncher though ) for its higher compression ratio. if you are not happy with stock tyre, just get the same size in michelin
. why don't you look for PILOT POWER 150/60-R17,it offers monster grip and its MICHELIN what else you ask for

Other tyres in this category includes MRF MOGRIP Series, TVS Jumbo and Michelin SIRAC STREET. However, the Michelin is on the costlier side.

So my advice would be to go for tubeless Vertigo Sport.
If you have any plans of getting spoke rims, get the RE Continental GT rims, it is both spoke and tubeless, the best combo you can get!But no idea how much it costs or the availability.
EDIT : Just realized going for spoke rims involves too much work, brakes have to be changed etc. May not be worth it.

Its practically the best solution (in our country) you can get for offroading in every aspect. You can't beat the price too!!! I remember buying my 100/90/R18 (Tubed) 2 years back at Rs. 1800!!!!
