Pradeep Thampy, Commercial Director - Motorcycle & Scooter tyres, Michelin India -

"Biking is rapidly becoming an extension of the personality for the young at heart, which is fuelling the growth of the Indian premium bike segment. There is a gradual but sure shift from usage of bikes from utilitarian to leisure and recreation. This segment is only going to increase, with industry analysts pegging the annual growth at 25%. Michelin Pilot Road 2 and Michelin Pilot Street Radial will cater to the needs of this growing market and will provide the consumer with a fitting product."

"With the introduction of these tyres in the market Michelin demonstrates its worldwide commitment to riders to provide new tyres, each of which delivers more performance - taking India to a higher plane of mobility. Over the years, Michelin has constantly demonstrated its commitment to make motorbike riding enjoyable in all situations and to develop tyre ranges that deliver the best performance across the board, in terms of dry or wet grip, feel and steering accuracy, and total mileage. Combining these qualities is the promise that underlies Michelin Total Performance. Michelin tyres deliver safety, riding enjoyment and total mileage."

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

You can consider the MRF Mo Grip series for the rear and use the MRF Zapper Y which is stock or you can consider using the MIchelin or as the fellow member said the Michelin. But consider upgrading the rear tyre from the stock 100/90 x 18 but this being an 18 inch you can always consider the same size or a smaller size 17 for more flickability.

          Cheers!

I will prefer both tyres to be of same pattern as I read that it marginally helps while gripping the surface at the time of braking hard specially, as of now I am using stock tyre at front & Michelin Sirac Street at rear..might look out for Pilot sporty in that case.
I didn't understand what you were saying regarding using a 17" tyre in a bike having 18" tyre as stock..can you please elaborate??

I was earlier using Pirelli SD 130/70-13. After using it for around 10K kms the tyre started rubbing with my chain so I decided to go for a change after a long search I zeroed to MRF Vyde and it is giving me a satisfactory feedback after using for around 300kms. I was really sad to let Pirelli go but feeling good with Vyde now.If not Vyde you may try Dunlop tuffgrip or Michelin Pilot Sporty. Tuffgrip will increase the height of your bike a little (no harm but an experience), though it was a little bumpy riding for me. As you are riding karizma I will suggest not to go for Pirelli SD 130, try to search something in 110 or at the most 120.

not even 120 cuz for that I will need to either remove the chain guard or will have to cut it from inside which I don't want hence even last time I went for Sirac Street rather than going for Sirac, 100 or 110 will be better for my ZMR I feel so, hence looking for same options in 18" rim size.

Bro in 100 range you will get good tyres. I hope Sirac is good but certain users are reporting it to be not good as it used to be. Howz your experience? I have seen lot of Unicorn users using Sirac.

The reason for the oversize is, bigger diameter means the bigger the size of the diameter of the tire when shod on the rim, which is good, but a smaller profile will aid in more good handling like 17, so you need not always look for a x80 as the ZMAs you can consider downsizing. But if you're using a bigger aspect ratio tyre say 120 in place of 100 then the bike's would be more pronounced and will look a little meatier too.

                    Cheers!

my experience with Sirac street is more than satisfying..I have used it on quite rough terrains & it performed well on tarmac as well..

Michelin Sirac Street is the tire that was having mixed bag reviews, not the Michelin Sirac that's shod on the person above. The guy on the Karizma is a real good tire getting very good reviews. The MSS is the one getting mixed reviews, but it still is a good tire or the same as MRF or Ceat.

There is no Revz M on Revz you have REVZ C S FC. Even then, there shoildn't be much difference from them both, they are all radials and they are mostly semi soft compound tire which offer good grip levels.

I guess this is the first FB page to post the pic of the REVZ M. Hopefully I don't think much has changed except for the pattern, let's see how it unfolds. Ralson has been in this business for quite a while now, I've seen their ad for rickshaw tire etc, but 140 on a Ralson, pretty good clip I must say.
