Chennai riders, can you point to some good tyre dealers who have stock cbr size(front 110/70-17, rear 140/70-17?)
Planning on changing the contis on the day I take delivery of my 250R. Also are there any tyre dealers who take the contis for a price?

Zapper for rear are always on the softer side, but if you want a little harder one, go for the Zapper C it takes off roads with gritty teeth, unlike other Zapper rear tyres. I'd suggest go for Moto Meteor series or Zapper C, both are really combination.

Radial tires are almost good for bikes for their grip and excellent handling abilities, but most of the new bikes are shod with radial like the Duke and Ninja. Personally never used radial for my bikes. But if you're considering then it's a not a bad idea after all.

              Cheers!

Dude, there are a lot of factors which might be making the tyre vulnerable, improper air pressure, riding habits, plus you can never rule out an exception, I have known riders who haven't encountered a single puncture on the R15, that doesn't make the Zapper S 'not prone to punctures', similarly just because u encountered punctures doesn't generalize Zapper Q is prone to punctures.

And about brooding over tyre change due to lack of grip,my definition and expectations of grip can be highly subjective just as yours.

With due respect I apologies at the first place if somehow you find my following comments offensive.

Did I ever generalized? Instead if someone would read your wonderful update on MRF Zappers (I mean, that is such a nice compilation), he/she might get a hint of generalization in it. Secondly I am not sure what made you think the pressure was improper in my rear tyre OR my riding habbit might have been the reason for the punctures. But I do agree exceptions are always there and an exception can never be an example.

Agree definition of grip can be subjective not highly though.

Thank you for such a nice compilation once again

I put in feedbacks which i get from my customers, friends, biking buddies, Hence the "hint of generalization", As I said, views of different individuals are bound to be different, we could go on all day long arguing/debating perhaps nights as well .

Lets just keep it simple, we should only take that much information from that post, or from any post, that we deem is useful or correct, and rather than debating, leave the rest !

Not accusing you mate, but these are the most common causes, do you really mean to say, you have always maintained exact recommended pressure at every moment ( I myself haven't even when I have access to air/nitrogen machines 24*7), or never have you ridden on the edge of the road, where generally, the probability of nails and sharp objects is very high ? It's just a part of the whole scene, not accusation

                        Hye!

So I am looking to replace my stock TVS tyres for the CBR150R with PSD's. Will be replacing both front and back, the sizes are 110/70/17 and 130/70/17. Now, both these tyres are available in PSD's for sure, but i havent been able to find them online on Indian sites. Does anyone have any contact of the places in Banglore than stock Pirelli's?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

You can also look at the Michelin pilot street radials..
Available at your stock size and are said too be better than PSDs..

I dont mind checking them out, But again, will have to find a place that stocks them.

CLARIFICATION. Front stock size is 100 and not 110. Made a mistake But I dont mind upgrading to a 110.

Using tvs euro grip tyres about 16000kms on my pulsar the tyre is a waste one low quality , poor gripping only one advantage is its a hard compound it last for a long time..in compare with MRF it cost is also high..I met 2 accidents due to the poor gripping on slippery rainy days .. what your opinion about the tyre.

As far as I know, finding a PSD nowadays is really hard.
