Neither are TL tires/TT tires with tuff up tubes fool proof. But yes TL tires have some advantage in case of non sidewall punctures.
Meteor/ZapperQ are good. The Vyde you posted above is a 120.
Like any other tire, TL or TT they can be swapped all it takes is a good rim, that is free of rust, rim bends. Spokes won't be able to go tubeless because air will leak through the spoke seats no matter what. That's why it's imperative to keep the rim size in check. If your rim is bent, the air will leak. Recently a friend of mine bent his rim during a tour, and he switched tube type, it's where tube tires are a real boon. Each have their pros and cons, but tubeless weights a little more on pros.
Tuff up is an ingenious method, but for those who are worried about using tuff up tire, you can consider SLIME, which is the same as tuff but but done manually.
Google SLIME and check it's usage and you'll get an idea how it works. Tuff up tube has the gel inside, instead using SLIME you pump the gel manually to the tire, so it just seals itself.
Cheers!

It doesn't mean it can't handle offorad, can ride in pebble roads without any problem, but it being a softer compound it isn't meant for pure offroading as it is prone to puncture real soon.

Again speaking of 110, you have less options in them, you won't get Zapper Vyde but Zapper Q which is also good. . . BTW here's the page for MRF MRF Tyres, go through it. . .

Thanks! I too felt that Gripp looks very skinny for a 100/90 and you just confirmed. Same is for Vertigo Sport. So both are out of my options.
Only one left now is MRF Meteor, which doesnt come as TL.

Vyde looks cool and I would sure have got it if I my requirement permitted.
110/90 has less options and that combined with a requirement of dual purpose, nothing!
And thank you for posting the apache pic.

Assuming my valves and rims are fine and even slime is in place, but ultimately the tire is TT one. In case of a puncture, it'd simply deflate and can have serious consequences.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

But you're right, on any tire with TT sudden deflation is inevitable, and that's that's why SLIME is useless and it has no practical way to be used on a TT as the inner structure with tube and the tire is completely different, as opposed to a hollow one in the TL.
Cheers!

And thank you for posting the apache pic., I don't think 110 size is available for Vyde, but you can get an alternative for that Zapper Q, looks close to Zapper Vyde and it's kinda medium rubber, also it'll come for longer than the normal size. . .
PS: Can you tell for what bike you want the 110 size for exactly, so I can give my personal opinions. . ? Sorry for asking now and not at the beginning, . .

110 size is not a priority/requirement. Dual-purpose is.
And another confusion is TT+tuff up tube or TL as rreneav also said above.Last edited by g K; 10-09-2013, 12:07 PM.You can ride a Motorcycle any day of the month. ;)

And another confusion is TT+tuff up tube or TL as rreneav also said above., . . Okay then in that case if you want to choose, just go with MRF MOGRIP Meteor, just Meteor and not Meteor D or Meteor M, it's good tire. . . Speaking of Zapper Q it's more of a like on road tire rather than off-road, so it's best if you stick with this if you are going for MRF. . . If you want CEAT then stick with CEAT Gripp or CEAT Vertigo Sport, your choice and speaking about TT+Tuff Up, take the expert's help, B7ACKTHORN sir or Divya Sharan. . .
PS: Don't get too confused. . .
