done 60kms on this pirelli tyre 120/70(actual front tyre but used as rear in my bike).the grip is awesome both on wet and dry roads must say Pirelli Sports Demon is the BEST, due to its little bit lesser size increase in average is 38- 40 kms in traffic in 1 litre(mumbai traffic)(petrol is power petrol 91rs/perlitre),earlier average was 37kms in 1 litre max.Just problem is that in big pothholes of Roads, the bike voumbles bit not That dangerous it must be due to its lesser size, earlier my bike doesnt use to voumble due to mrf zapper 120/80(stock tyres by bajaj). Can anyone tel me what is 120/90 90 i mean what does 120 stands for and 80 stands for means length, width?Didnt tried it at high speed due to my new clutch plate wil try after 100-200kms max speed was 74kms/hr!!!!!
          Cheers!!!!!!

            1. Wow there.
I get too low mileage compared to yours. Awesome !

            2. Why are you using premium petrol ?
Its not like if you can afford you should go for it.
What I had learnt from other users and my own experience is that you should use the petrol that company says is good and you think is good.

Pulsar as far as I remember runs very well on normal petrol. Give that a try and see you mileage.

            3. The wobble / voumbles you arr talking about is because of the front tire use as rear tyre.

Even the stock tire is 120 so its the same.

            4. If you want to understand 120/70-17 thing.
Google them and you will understand easily in 10 seconds with a reference pic

Guys I baught Vee Rubber almost 15 days back, rode almost 3000 kms with it, did 530 kms in 6 and half hours. This tyre is simply ming blowing, the size I am using is 140/80, I know its big but I loved this tyre. The other pic, thats my old worn out IRC wch gave me an amazing 10000 km life with awesome stability and mileage.
Only problem with the vee rubber is that I feel slight vibrations because of the semi dirt pattern of the tyre..

Bro i used to fill normal petrol in my 220f but the problem is when i drag my (i.e 10rpm shifting) the petrol use to burn a lot as compared to premium petrol. The Power petrol burns less during higher rpms and since i found out a lot difference in both,If you are going for Power Petrol go for a Good petrol Pump Like PATEL PETROL PUMP(GOREGAON S.V ROAD),ANDHERI LINK ROAD LOTUS PETROL PUMP).i m geting good average even at higher rpms with Power Petrol,i THINK it is due to its Fine quality 5Rs more tha normal petrol but the results are good,YOU can give it a try

Ninja 250 and 300 comes fitted with IRC road winner.
IRCs were amazing for my touring, better mileage good control on wet and dry conditions. Only problem I faced was the low profile of the tyre, whenever I used to run over a pothole the jerk was more than the stock 120/80 tyre as it was 140/70.
Overall I found IRC better than Pirelli sports and other in that category.

Yes it is, frequent punctures and inability of the tire to maintain the tire pressure means your tire is weaker not only on the sidewall but on the thread too. It's always a best practice to replace them when you get frequent punctures and uneven pressure.

On an 18 size rim you can affix the 3.00x18 tire as long as the RIM diamter is the same, going an inch lesser wouldn't do any wrong, but it's always a better idea to stick to stock size rim for overall performance.

120/90x18 not 120/90 90 means 120 width of the tire in mm the side that touches the road.
90 is 90% of the width meaning 90% of 120
17 is the RIM size inch, it may be 18 17 14 etc

Semi grooved patterns do tend to bring vibrations I've heard the same with DUNLOP MONSTER and it will settle as time goes by.

This is not an attempt to market out or something as this is a forum where we share & help each other out to whatever extend we can, so with regards to that, I'd would like to call out to all the riders (Specially In Bangalore), to get in touch with X-torque for their 250cc & + bikes if have any need of good performance tires (Metzeler & Pirelli).
The reason I am posting so is because I have learned so much in this little time of being here, it has been an eye opener. The small things that we ignore matter the most. & when price is not of concern wrt quality & performance, it's always best to go with the best.

Any review of Pirelli's 130/70-17? I'm thinking of mounting it on my Fz-S, since stock tire (140/0/R17) is no longer available.

You can try Revz in other range, but Pirelli's are always excellent stuff. The Pirelli 130/70 is an excellent tire and being used in the P220 the reviews are real good. Why not, here is how it looks.

just to get some knowledge, i want to know this..
how do tyre shapes help the ride on straight roads, gravel, wet conditions etc..
like the tyres on FZ are more flatter, on R15v2 they are like slightly oval shaped, and on Duke they are more rounder.. (please correct me if i am wrong with this info)
what difference does this makes..? i know this that slightly oval shaped help more in corners n all.. anything else..?

                              Ride safe and have fun.
