Hi, Kotty. Why don't you try the Pirelli MT75 stock size. PSDs tend to go on the costlier side, but just for the rear, you can try searching for them. The shoes are pretty awesome.

My FZ 16 rear tyre is due for replacement. It's air retention had always been poor: dow by 5 bars in a week. (i thought that was normal fir tubeless). What should I do and which types are good choices?

You can convert it to tubeless for better air retention or you can check for any bends in rim, because bends in rim causes air leak and worn out tire can cause even faster pressure loss. 5 bars in a week is a tad much comparatively.

You can convert to a tube or check for bends in rim or you can replace the tires.

          Cheers!

Which is the place get the rim checked - Yamaha or tyre dealer? If any bends are detected, what's the option - repair or replace?

I think bends can be repaired, if it's something else then you need to go for replacement. . . I think they would charge you less than 150rs for both tires bend. . . If you are looking for tube types, you have various options for that as well. . .

                Cheers!!!

I don't think rim bends can be repaired.. Couple of years back, the rear rim of my bike has developed a bend due to the path holed roads and the tyre dealer as well as the svc guys told me they can't be repaired.. You have to replace them.. Also last month i heard the svc mech telling the same thing to some guy..

                  Ride safe and have fun.

I don't know about your place bro, but here we have shops to repair tire bends, if it's normal bends then it can be repaired, if it's broken or something else, then it's not possible. . .

                    Cheers!!!

Yup, actually I also thought that rim bends cannot be repaired but the last time I had a bend on my unicorn (spoke wheel) I went up to the place to get it repaired, there he said we repair both spoke and alloy wheels. . . Try your luck mate, you might get at least one who does this. . .

                        Cheers!!!

Rim bends cannot be rectified *but* just in those rare cases they can be rectified. Unlike spoke wheels any hammering on an alloy will easily crack the rim or aggravate the bend even more.

It has already been three days since you reported your query ........... I would suggest if you have no loss in driving pleasure in terms of cornering, FE and acceleration then there's nothing wrong to stick with it. But I have a concern here to offer you, Fellow bikers on this thread have reported huge loss of grip of a Pirelli on wet surfaces so you should better be careful brother

It's not only PIRELLI, any soft compound, would lose some grip when the roads are wet. That's why you need a mixture of both hard and soft for the best use of words. Of course PIRELLI has excellent cornering capabilities. But investing in a soft tire and off roading and using it and I quote *extensively* in water will be a different story altogether.

I've a read lot and learnt that for a ZMA the TL options are M45 and PSD. M45 is impossible to acquire and PSD is heavy. Apart from this I've heard mixed reviews of the Geocruiser. Meteor seems popular but not many riders on xBhp have posted feedback about it so I'm a little unsure of that too. Ceat seems to be a reliable brand but offer no TLs for that size. Basically I would like to change to TL tyres with decent grip. Front 2.75 -18, Rear 100/90 -18 . Suggestions guys?
