Has anyone tried dukes 200 front tyre on R15s V1s Rear? If yes then how it behaves on corners and on straights? And how's the wet grip of the tyre.

See, Duke's front tire is 110/70x17 and the R15 V2.0's rear tire spec is 130/70, and there won't be any issues as such using the Duke's front tire. Regarding handling I can't comment, but it may look a tad puny using the 110 on the rear of the R15. Personally I'd suggest you to not to.

      Cheers!

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Bro I am talking about R15V1. Specs of V1 stock is 100.80.17 but right now I am using 110.80.17 on V1 but still want to try dukes front tyre.

Absolutely, considering the spec of the V1's would not be such a bad idea. Since the aspect ratio is lesser, it means you can have more fun.

Are you kidding me. . ? front tires for the rear. . ? Please come out with some other idea. . . BTW you get good rubber for your present tire which you are using, 110/80-17, for which you can get good options and you can try fitting a 120/80-17, I have one of my friend who has put that for his V1. . . Handling part, need to ask him. . . BTW the list of tires for that spec with good handling are, MRF Zapper Q/Vyde, Michellin Sirac Street, CEAT Vertigo Sport and others, why don't you try out for the same brand of tires used in Duke and ask if you can get a rear tire for your V1 in that spec. . . According to me, putting front tires to the rear, is a bad idea. . .

I have to make a point here .............. the tread pattern and tread geometry are different for rear and front tyres and so is with their respective duties ............... I wouldn't advice such a replacement even if the tread measurement is close enough

 for this, that's what I too meant for him. . . The design, the thread pattern, etc., for front and rear are made such that it works best when fitted properly or else who knows what's gonna happen, so it's best for him to stick to a rear tire. . .

                Cheers!!!

You guys are absolutely right. But have you considered most bikes here, the same rear tire of a bike is easily swapped to the rear tire of the bike. The point to note here is not the compound as such, as basically most tires are sold by their respective sizes and based upon that the compound is used.

Say for most old age bikes, such as RX100, Samurai those series, the same front tire can be fixed to the rear. But as more and more powerful bikes enter the scenario, the need for bigger tires are needed. So unless something is way too off the track, I wouldn't suggest swapping the front tire for the rear. But if it's almost the same then there is absolutely no problem using a front tire on the rear. But before that, do your research and then go for it. Not all tires can be swapped and vice versa.

                  Cheers!

Rakesh I am using MRF zapper 110.80.17 medium compound and I really didn't find major difference between stock tyre and the one I'm using now but I want to try something different on the rear tyre considering that I'm gonna try dukes front on R15V1 rear.. I hopefully it's gonna do some decent job in terms of handling. One more thing that i have observed is 120.80.17 size slightly touches the swingarm of the bike so i really not considering that option ...thanks buddy ...

You get so many options for your spec for handling, I'll give you a list of some which I know. . .
                      1. MRF Zapper Vyde (best as I am using the same).
                      2. MRF Zapper Q (also the best but has a little extra wear period compared to vyde).
                      3. MRF Zapper Meteor (you got to see if you get one for your fitment).
                      4. Michellin Sirac Street (Awesome one).
                      5. Ceat Vertigo Sport (It is available for your spec).
                      6. Pirelli Sports Demon (if you have more cash go for it and also, it's kinda difficult to find one). . .

Other than this, there are normal ones which don't give you that handling. . .

See if any of these would which you might like. . .

It is obvious using a bigger mm size in tire tend to touch the swingarm of the bikes, when it exceeds it's design capabilities. As a thumb rule, all these performance perks can be used for good powerful bikes (thick tires) but anything less than a sub 200cc machine, it will affect the performance negatively.

But glad to know that you've taken a good decision.

Yes zapper Q that I m using right now in 110.80.17 specs its medium compound and I won't prefer for zapper Vyde since it comes in 120.80.17 specs though it's a soft compound and proven good in wet situations too but again it will touch swing arm. Thanks guys for the help..:thumbup:

The stock tyres are already very good, I would advise you to stick to them or if you want a little rounder profile go for pirelli sport demon for the rear.
