I have 2005 Honda Unicorn. I am planning to put new tyres on it so was looking for 110 size tyre for rear, specifically MRF Zapper Q 110-90/18. But the MRF person was kind enough to ask me to verify whether 110 will fit Unicorn.
Kindly help.
Thanks a lot.
Vikram
Don't know about that, but it should fit, if you ask me better go for 100/90-18, it suits perfectly and I am also planning to go for 100/90-18 for my Unicorn, 2006 model, in MRF you will get zapper Q, zapper Vyde or the new one, Mo grip Meteor, just METEOR, good tires, you can go for Zapper Vyde as it looks wider compared to others and comes with 100/90-18. . . Am planning for that only, will inform you as soon as I replace that tyre as currently I am running on 3.00-18, some tvs tyre. . .
I was talking it for the p220 rim thats not so widened like the r15v2 or fz......have tried a zapper fx 100section front and I know what heck of problem it is.......pilot sporty in 90/90 was one of the best tyres I used so will not say that the tyre is bad. .....
Like I said before it depends on what rim width the tyre is designed for! Even I have used the Zapper FX, and it forms an aggressive V profile.
The 100/80 Pilot sporty forms a decent profile, and its not narrow like the Zapper FX.
Re-iterating again, its not a profile issue. Its a compound issue and I still say the Pilot Sport is best avoided.
It may have been the best tyre for you and your bike, but I've used better tyres on my bike and based on my experience I will not recommend the Pilot Sporty for 220's.

I have used fy1 front...the best I know until yet from MRF.....and maybe you got the PS made in India.....when I had got 90/90 PS it was one made in Thailand....back in 2010......i rather do not recommend any 100 section front tyre for a p220 rim size at the end.....
Cheers
I want to change the tyres on my NS, decided to go with R15 v2 rear tyre 130 70 but dont know which front tyre to go for the NS, 100 80, the fz's tyre is that size but lots of people tell me the rim width is going to make an issue and the tyre wont have a good contact patch
hi all, what are good tyres in wet conditions for hero hunk? currently on stock mrf zappers y but they are worn out and I feel I will need something better for wet roads in the coming rainy season as I am going on a really long drive for a month on wet tarmac.

Hmmmm so you want wet tarmac grip......
You should definitely go for front mrf ZAPPER FV..... as your rim is 18 inches.....its got crazy grip and ribbed pattern thats great for rains....
For the replacement of rear 100/90-18.....you can go for either zapper VYDE 100/90-18....that has less life but a very very positive grip or ZAPPER Q.....110/80-17...
Zapper Q also has great grip but the compound isnt that much soft....and so it lasts longer than vyde...

I have already mentioned in my previous post that its a Made in India tyre!
The Thai tyre is way different from the Indian tyre.
Its becoming to repeat the same thing again and again now. Its NOT a profile issue, its a compound issue. I don't think I can be more clear than this....
Before you make generalized statements like you don't recommend any 100 section tyre on the 220 rim please do some knowledge research.
I am on my 6th front tyre for my 220 so I do know a thing or two about the tyres to be used on the 220.
I never meant to say you dont know a thing about tyres bro..ehehe :P
And sorry my bad I didnt read those were Indian made......Indian made are certainly bad
But I can vouch that the Michelin PS 90/90 is way better than the stock 90/90 tyre of RTRs Traction on dry road is amazing!
Yes I had used the same one back in 09......using fy1 now and can say its the best available front tyre available around, resistant to punctures and it just grips, grips and grips everwhere.

I meant the made-in-india PS 90/90 sorry for confusion..
