  • Changing of tyres in apache 180 abs

    Hello bikers,

Recently i heard that one cant change the individual tyre in apache 180 abs. i.e if someone wants to change tyres then one must change both the tyres.
This is because of ABS which would face problem if both the tyres are different.

    Is this true ???

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

        • Thanks for the response.
That means even a single tyre can be changed without effecting the performance of ABS ??
Suppose one tyre is of MRF and other is CEAT, the grip of each will be different, in this case will ABS sense and act accordingly ? will it be as efficient as with being both the tyres of same make ??

          Thanks

In rear in have MRF Zapper Q for (1 year old). I ride around 50km daily on smooth road.
I am looking to buy a front Tyre for it .
Could you please suggest which tyre to go for Tubeless or Tube for better grip
& mileage and which Company to go for . I am daily rider ( Avg speed 55 km ) & preffer to use
            front disk brakes.

Does tubeless tyres degrade the the mileage
I too have a Pulsar 2002 Classic (round headlamp, wire wheels). I have fitted a Michelin Sirac to the front. It is just superb. It took some 400 odd kms to break in and from then on, I can literally feel it grab the road. Did the Leh trip with it this June and it is still like new. Just go for it with your eyes closed. Yes, it produces a bit of tyre roar at 60 kph but that is music to our ears, right

On the contrary. Tubeless tyres INCREASE mileage as the unsprung weight goes down. Plus they are safer too.

              Hey !

My Pulsar 220 -15 months old nearly-
              25k K.m.
And both the Tyres are over done now !
No grip at all. (Burnout, skids, other drame's )
I want to change both the tyres.

Which brand should I go for ?
I'm a daily road, highway rider only.
Basically gonna ride on Mumbai roads for 9-10 months and then back to Delhi roads.

Please help me to get a trustful brand name and a near about price idea ?
or some particular shop anywhere in or around Mumbai ?

My pocket budget is a packed-up bcoz I have to change Sprocket Set also so I don't think going for high-priced tyre is a good Idea

I don't want any change in my bike's performance.
Don't need a Heavy tyre to reduce performance, Or a wider-one if Its effecting the performance.

Please someone reply. I've been through many posts in this thread but they are confusing me.
I'll be rushing to the market as soon as you guys help

Bottom Line : Which market is best for getting nice pricing and fine fitting ?
Like its Karol Bagh in Delhi !

                2. Dunlop : Under 4k
                3. Ceat : 4.5k Near
                4. Perili : 7.5k

                • I'm from Bangalore and I drive a Yamaha R15 v1.0. I would like to change the tyres on my R15. I'll be sticking to stock tyres for now.
Below are the details I'm looking for...
                  1. Stock tyre specifications
                  2. Price
                  3. Trustworthy dealer details (contacts & address) in Bangalore

                  Thank you,

For the front tyre you can stick to the stock MRF Zapper FS tyre, its good enough.

And for the rear you can choose between the stock Zapper C or a Zapper Vyde. If you want spend a little more you can get the Pirelli sport demon, but for the extra price paid there isn't much benefit gained.

Oh thanks a lot bro. !

Many said MRF is a soft tyre ?

Just now called up a MRF dealer here in Kandivali.
For the size of 220's tyre he said :
                      Front : 1900rs
                      Rear : 2450rs

And for the Zapper Fs, Zapper C, Zapper Vyde as said by you he said he'll tell me tomorrow !
And for front as MRF & Rear as Perilli, wont it be a uncomfortable while break and other balancing thing ?
Both tyre from different category !

But yes the main thing "Price" is too high for Perilli.

                      • P150 Tubeless tyre setup?

Guys, I am running the stock MRF Zapper 2.75 x 17 (front) and 100/90 x 17 (rear) which have come as tube type from the factory itself in my Pulsar 150 UG 4.5. I ride alone most of the times and running a tube type on the deserted highway doesn't excite me. I want to change the tyres to tubeless ones with the same specs so that it doesn't hamper the performance of the bike. Can someone please suggest me a tyre for the front as the rating is a bit confusing. MRF already has 100/90 rear tubeless, but doesn't give any indication for the front. It should not cost me a bomb and should hold on for longer duration of time, so preferably medium or hard compound.

I don't like the flexi-chassis of P150 and won't be doing any kind of spirited tilt/bend and run thingy.
                        Regards,

                          • Need to choose a Tyre for my bike

                            Hi all,

My bike is TVS Victor GLX. Its time to replace the rear tyre of my bike (clocked 24k KM on OEM tyre).
Can someone please suggest me a good tyre?

                            Size: 3.00x18-6PR

                            Basically i want to know
                            1) How to choose a good Tyre OR what to look for?
                            2) What would be the price (approx. range)?
                            3)Should i replace tube too?

                            Preference
                            1) Good grip
                            2) Comfort
                            3) Should not affect mileage.

                            MRF - TYRES - PRODUCTS
                            Falcon Tyres Ltd (Dunlop)

I have a perception that Dunlop, Ceat and MRF manufacture some good tyres. But i'm not limited to only these brands, you can suggest any good Tyre from any brand.
