A nice tyre.. I fitted the same Sirac 6 months ago for 1900bucks... I cant say my bike's stability has improved... But my main purpose was for Grip.. And this tyre solved my purpose 200%. This is a best tyre for Grip..

In the past 6 months, i can never say that my bike rear tyre skidded because of Braking..
Also, Thou the rear tyre size of Splendor (my bike) is 2.75x18. I fitted this 3x18 tyre and feared that thou i will get grip i will face heavy loss in mileage.. But till now i never felt mileage loss with my bike bcoz of this tyre too..!

        Thumbs up

                    • Replace Apache RTR 180's Stock Tyres

                      Hi,

I am looking to replace the stock tyres on my Apache RTR 180. I have used it over 2 years and am looking to replace it with an option which provides more stability, grip and better performance. The stock tyres dont seem to grip properly in water.

The front tyre dimensions are 90/90x17" tubeless
The rear tyre dimensions are 110/80x17" tubeless.

                      Any recommendations???

The MRF Zapper Vyde is 120/80 and the Stock tyre is 110/80, so will the Zapper Vyde fit? Will there be any drop in top speed, grip, performance?
Also what would be effect of using a different size Zapper FY in the front?
Any other options apart from MRF? What about Pirelli or Michelin? Will they be suitable for the Apache RTR 180?

                              • Time for new shoes (P180)

Its time to get new shoes for my Pulsar 180 (2002 model). The stock size is: Front: 2.75 - 18, Rear: 100/90 - 18.

-- This is an old model with 18 inch steel rims, so need 18 inch TUBETYPE tyres. The new tyres should not break the bank..after all this is 10 yr old bike, whose face value is almost zero.. so need reasonably priced tyres..

-- Tread life is not very important as very limited use of bike.. Tyre compound's longetivity is important. I intend to keep the bike for another 4-5 years at least, and God knows, it may actually be with me forever, in whatever condition it is .. The rubber should not crack due to non usage of the bike for longer intervals. My monthly usage will be limited to under 250KM of urban commuting at speeds ranging between 40-60 Kmph and hardly ever going near 80Kmph.

-- Interested in block patterened tyres rather than MRF zapper type, just for the sake of change. MRF Meteor, MRF Moto D, Michelin Sirac, TVS Jumbo Poly X are some tyres that look interesting to me for Rear. I am open to suggestions for other tyres also.

Based on the above facts, could you guys suggest me about the following queries.

-- Can any of the above tyres in 2.75 - 18 (or 3.00 - 18) size be used on the front as well ? heard that some people are using Sirac on both front/rear ? Not able to find any matching pattern/tread for front for any of the above mentioend tyres (Meteor, Moto D, Sirac, Jumbo), except Sirac (if that can be used on front as well in reverse direction).

-- Michelin M45/62 are not listed on their india website, only Sirec. I have read a lot of people using 45/62 as well. Where do you get these ? are these grey market imports ?

-- 100/90 is a direct fit for rear rim, I think 110/90 should also fit directly without any fuss. What about 4.25 - 18 ? what does it equal to in terms of 100/90 type notation. what do you people say aobut the slight upsize ?

Any additional information regarding the price for these will be highly appreciated.

                                Cheers
