Yes, I have the budget and a lot of time too before my R15's zappers run out of grip...

Ok, I know its wet performance is bad due to smaller grooves & the compound, but how do the TVS tyres grip in dry conditions, in heated up state?

    And can I get a Zapper-C 100/90 x 17 in Tubeless Variant?
As I have tubeless valves on my rim, and they can't be made tubular again as the hole was drilled...

on dry roads they work well though nothing exceptional . for ur front u can go for the new r15's 90spec front tire .has great grip just like old model r15 tyres . on rear if u want awesome grip and can compromise acceleration a bit go for pirelli sd 130 /17 . or zapper vyde 120 but i have not personally used this tyre . zapper c was available in tubeless last time i checked .

              • Would be replacing my stock IRC's to Pirelli SD by the next month so wanted to choose a good size. Would not want any Performance drops on Top speed, etc as I would be Crusing on highways and Cornering on Ghats and safe Roads...(maybe even get my knee down for some stretches :P)

                What's the best replacement sizes from stock Front 90/90 - 17 & Rear 120/80 - 17 for a Pulsar 220 Dtsi...?
                Front > 100/80 - 17
                Rear > 130/80 - 17

Prefer keeping the rear tire wall height the same so as to gain some marginal ground clearance and not loose on top end, whereas for the front ready to lose upto max 10mm of height.

Checked and found out about them on SPORT DEMON , Motorcycle Tyres - PIRELLI

Also, if someone lives in Mumbai, can you please help in letting me know about Tyre dealers who can get the chosen sizes?

                Thanks.

dont upsize the front tire since you are downsizing the rear tyre.... Get r15 rear tire for the rear and r15 front tire(zapper fy) for the front... Its 80/90 x 17.... There should be some difference between a front and rear tire.... My opinion is to go for both the r15 front and rear.....

dont go above 100/90 x 17.... I think twister comes with tubeless.... Get zapper c 100/90 x 17 for better luks, grip... You can try michelin pilot sporty 100/90 x 17 too... My bike had 3.00 x 18...i upgraded it too 100/90 x 18 pilot sporty. Superb grip... No drop in mileage or performance....i dint notice any drop....

thanks for you suggestion, but dont you think PSD is heavier than other tires in that segment?? currently using Dunlop Gio Cruzer, good dry grip but very bad on wet surface....

                              1- michelin sirac street

Get the Sirac Street,I guess you meant the Sirac Street 100/90-18. Dunlop monster is a soft compound tire and will loss grip at7-8k kms and the center of the tire becomes bald very fast,IMO get the sirac street.
