  • The other day I went to MRF tyre shop and asked for R-15 front tyre and they quoted 2300 :O. Last year I bought the tyre for 1400. Is 2300 is the real price now? 900 rupees increase in an year is unbelievable.

R15 tyres have fancy prices. Here in Hyderabad, every MRF dealer has his own set of prices for the front and rear tyres. I would suggest to call MRF dealers in your vicinity and check the prices. I got quotes of 1500-2000 for front tyre and 1600-2500 for rear tyre. Finally got both the tyres for 3100 3 weeks back from Nakoda Wheels(contact Satti anna for more details).

        • @aneesh m45 is 110/90/18 ?
can i fit it without any changes to the bike like removal of chain cover and stuff?
and what is the whole idea of sizes coming in 4.00 or 3.00 and how do we know whats the normal size?
which one is better of m45 and sirac and sirac street?
and most importantly will they reduce my mileage?

zapper vyde is the way to go i guess. It is available in 15 inch rim size... I guess its 150mm tire.... Will look damn sexy... As far front tyre.., go for 90/90 x 19 zapper fs... This two are the cheapest and best combination... Check out the prices

Yes,it is 110/90-18. Have a look at this pic of Stock Zapper 100/90-18 and M45 4.0 * 18 in my karizma.

can i fit it without any changes to the bike like removal of chain cover and stuff?
Most probably you will have to remove the chain guard and IMO its overkill for Hunk.

and what is the whole idea of sizes coming in 4.00 or 3.00 and how do we know whats the normal size?
simply 3.0 is equal to 90 and 3.50 is equal to 100 and 4.0 is equal to 110.

M45 is a good tire but i wont recommend it for a hunk, its very big for Hunk,Sirac is 120/90-18 tubeless tire, its the heaviest tire and will reduce mileage, acceleration and topend for sure.So IMO get the Sirac Street 100/90-18, although it seems to be a bit skinny than the stock tire,it offers very good grip and stability in all terrains.

I do not understand why different prices at MRF dealers, that too almost 50% variation. Its nothing but looting and cheating the customer. Anybody complained to MRF? Is it worth?

And thanks for the information. I called up Satish for the details.

                • MRF takes it seriously.. but the bottom level doesn't..

                  what I do..
                  1. Purchase tyre from any authorised MRF dealer at whatever price. TAKE BILL.
                  2. Return to seat. open MRF site. put a feedback. I purchased for this configuration Tyre for this much price. Pls let me know the MRP.
                  3. in 3 days, the call from shop. I charged you extra money by mistake. please collect back.

in pune, happened to me twice. and asked 3 friends to do the same successfully.

                          • This is an FYI for other users who may need similar tyres.

I picked up a 150/90 15 for the rears and 120/80 16 for the fronts - both Pirelli from Premji's (Thane). This is for use on a Hyosung Aquila GV250

                            • ever since i had put the R15's front tyre on my P150, i am annoyed with continuos loss of pressure from valve, even replaced it 2 times, still the problem persists.

                              can a tyre sealent help?

                              i also want to know if a tuff-up tube is available in 2.75 x 17 or 80/90 - 17 size?
