Tires for Pulsar 220
Hi Guys, both my 220's tires are squared out.. I'm gonna change them this weekend at the Auto Accessories Expo in Chennai.. I'd finalized for a 100/80-17 front and 130/80-17 rear Pirelli Sport Demons for my bike.. But, after seeing the new R15's tires, am a bit inclined towards it.. Any idea/reviews about those tires..? Are they still super soft compound tires like the old R15..? How long have the current THIN tires of the R15 lasted..? I ride in a spirited manner, with lots of lean in corners and long distance high speed(120+ km/hr) highway riding.. Pirelli users and other experienced guys, please help me out.. I need to take a decision before Friday morning.. Thanks a million in advance..

The new one should have similar tyres too, though the front looks more like FZ pattern&the rear is radial.
If I were to be in your place, I would be looking at soft compound options in stock sizes i.e., 90/90x17"&120/80x17" respectively.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

I recently been to Lavasa(Pune). While returning back home(pune city), I realized my bikes(RTR160) front tyre(not tubeless) was wobbling but on checking tyres they looked fine. But later I found my front tyre was puncher. Now the bike has already traveled approx 40 km in the puncher state with less air in front tyre.
When I checked at puncher shop they said it has 6 punchers. I m aware about the menace of puncher repair mechanics. So I was carefully watching him while he removes tube from tyre.
On checking the tyre there were some cuts in side the tyre. This thing is new for me. Can there be cuts in side the tyre. Cuts looked like made with a blade or some sharp object like screw driver. I was told that the cuts are caused as i have driven bike for longer time in puncher state and some metal wires caused the cut. Well the puncher was caused due to nails that pierced the tyre.
I was asked to put some patch inside the tyres. Which coasts me about 400 Rs. extra....Can any one tell me whether TVS tyre has this problem or i was cheated in this case.
If i was cheated don't visit puncher shop at Paud road near Raj motors chowk

Replacement of rear tire in cb twister
i ride a cb twister. The bike itself has killer looks for a 110cc. But i'm peeved by the skinny rear tire. I want to replace it with a slightly bigger one, but I heard that the mileage takes a beating. How much will it reduce? Should i go for the replacement?Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.
