  • Google wasn't too friendly to me I guess

From the 'looks' I think the stock tyre might be better as an *all-rounder*!

Thanks buddy!! As for now, i cant comment about the tyres grip levels and performance. Till now, some problems which had with the old tyres seems to be gone now. With the old tyres i was not feeling confident at all when going over rough patches and potholes. Now, the bike feels a lot more stable. But still i am not getting much confidence while braking. I guess the tyre has to complete its run-in period to give optimal performance. So I think i'll hav to wait for a couple of hundred KMs to complete before passing on the judgement abt the performance. But as of now, I am happy with my purchase.

I some times think that i should have gone for the bigger tyre like 100/90 * 18 Sirac Street or atleast M45 3.25 * 18. This stock tyre size really spoils the look of the bike from the rear view.

Both the tyres tread patterns are great. They look very nice. All in all a very good purchase. As for the pics, I dont have a camera at hand right now. Will try to post in a couple of days.

        Thanks.

        • I ve posted this here before. My bike's TL tyres are giving out 'out of air' kinda sound, even if it is full. Is this normal..?
Also, pressure dropped from 30 to 25 (rear) and 27 to 24 (front) within 1 week. Is it leaking air..?

Dropping 3-5psi of air in 1 weeks seems to be bad, fill it and check it next day and see what happens.

the tyre pressure is not holding, in 24 hours the pressure is reducing from 30 to 20 and after the pressure got reduced, then it hit pothole.

2nd thing--i m saying the tread pattern is correct in MRF R15 front tyre and dunlop zebra-y, but wrong in Zapper-Fs that is used for other bikes like pulsars etc.

can u suggest some thing where can be the leak in my brand new R15 front tyre.

can anyone tell me how much a new valve costs (of tubeless tyre).........or can we repair old one.........can we tighten it more.

again there was loss of pressure, so changed the valve, and this time they used a sealant on both the rubber washers of valve, it was a red tin called MRF SOL. now its fine. no leak.

                • Guys, I'm on the completion of restoring my Rx 135 5S to stock & would like to plonk in some good rubbers on stock rims. I'm not a big fan of yezdi rims & upsizing aswell. What's on my mind is M62 Gazelle for the front & M45 for the rear or M45 on both. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Btw. This is gonna be my exotic & will only be a weekend getaway bike.

                  • IMO get Michelin M45 3.25 *18 or 3.0 * 18 for rear and 2.75 * 18 for front.

You mean how to fix it as front fitment? If yes,Put the tire according to the directional arrows given in the tire.

One thing i wanted to know regarding new tyres. Whats the run-in period for the new tyres? Do they wobble under braking when new?

I had a wobble when i braked at 50-60ish speeds. And also the bike sways a bit at those speeds when there is a strong wind blowing from head on(this was not under braking). Does this happen with the new tyres?

I've managed to take some pics of the bike with new tyres. Only thing is that i'm not getting any time to post them. So will post the pics over the weekend.

                              • I always wanted to ask this question, but somehow did not ! Here we go!

I have ZMA-R bought in May, currently running on stock MRF tyres and there is an instruction on the tyre pressure for front and back with pillion and single ride etc.

If we upgrade to say Michelin Sirac Street or M45 at the rear, what would be the optimum tyre pressure?

Ok.What you experienced is a cross winds. Nothing to do with tyres. Oh yes, we do have something like grip that would be felt strong after 100kms or so, but that is for soft compound tyres. If yours is not then don't worry.
