one thing worried me, when i started my ride back, i suddenly felt that front tyre pressure has reduced, coz at two potholes, it hit hard on the rim, immediately stopped and checked the air pressure was down from 30 to 20. filled again but worried. luckily nothing happened for the rest of the ride back.
can anyone tell, what went wrong. why the tyre pressure reduced.

there is a possibility of losing tyre pressure if you hit a pothole really hard.
there won't always be damage to your rim.
(but just make sure your rim isn't bent.)
since you haven't lost air pressure since you refilled...
it's prolly safe to assume that your rims OK.
if you realize that (it's inevitable and that) you're going to hit a pothole... don't try n turn away from it.
and DO NOT break hard. you'll just end up locking your wheel.
which will just increase your chances of damage in case of high speed impact.
just roll off the throttle and lightly press down on your brake lever.
and roll through the pothole.
have you guys noticed that grooves on an R15 front tyres and dunlop zebra-y front tyres are in exactly opposite direction than those on MRF zapper FS.
which according to you guys provide better wet grip. i think it is the former one, MRF has got it all wrong on Zapper FS

the stock tyres on the R15 are the best MRF has ever produced.
the tyre pressure is not holding, in 24 hours the pressure is reducing from 30 to 20 and after the pressure got reduced, then it hit pothole.
2nd thing--i m saying the tread pattern is correct in MRF R15 front tyre and dunlop zebra-y, but wrong in Zapper-Fs that is used for other bikes like pulsars etc.
can u suggest some thing where can be the leak in my brand new R15 front tyre.
Hey guys, my brand new pulsar came with euro grip tyres which i heard are really bad. I want to trade it for some better quality tyres without spending too much money. Which tyres should i go for and how much approxmitely can i expect for the brand new euro grip tyres? I stay in mumbai.
My bike's (Hunk) tubeless tyres often gives out a hissisg kinda sound, similar to the sound we hear from heavily loaded truck tyres ( I think u get what I mean). Is this a characteristic feature of tubeless tyres, or am I loosing pressure..?
ok, so i found out today, what the problem is ...........the valve is leaking......
can anyone tell me how much a new valve costs (of tubeless tyre).........or can we repair old one.........can we tighten it more.
yesterday, i tried to tight the valve more, but the whole valve was turning alon with the nut.....and at that time it was still leaking.....but today evening i checked the pressure, it was all right.....no loss of pressure.......god, what is happening?
I have almost 17000 kms done on my Yamaha Gladiator over the duration of 2.5 Years. I am thinking of going for a tyre change as am not getting enough grip on the rear of the bike. The bike's front tyre looks okay with treads still having good depth. Which rear tyre can be fitted? The current stock rear tyre has the size 3.00 - 18. I was thinking of going for Michelin Sirac Street of size 100/90 - 18. What are your opinions abt this particular tyre? Does Going for a bigger block tyre affects the fuel efficiency of the bike?
Also is it better to change both the tyres? I mean given that the bike's front tyre seems to be in pretty good condition, is it better to have the front tyre also changed? Also, Can the michelin sirac street(2.75 - 18) tyre itself be used as the front tyre too?
Please provide your valuable suggesstions/opinions.
First off all we need to know what is your riding conditions,like you ride in highways ? or in city? or offroadings etc. IMO its better to change both of the tires at same time,So if your budget allows it,Do it.

Go for Michelin Sirac Street rear 3.00x18" and for the front M45 2.75x18". It is a very good combo&I have got this recently on my Fiero F2.

Thanks for your inputs Aneesh. I always ride in city limits with speeds of 50-60 Km/h. As i ride in very bad peak hour traffice conditions, I want max braking efficiency and grip and the bike should remain very stable under sudden braking conditions.

Ok,You can go for Michelin M45 3.0 * 18 @ rear,If you need little bigger,go for Michelin M45 3.25 * 18,Which is bit larger than 3.0 * 18 and Michelin M45 2.75 * 18 for front. These are tube type tires.
