  • Front m45 3.00 -18

Michelin M45 for All new ZMR

    since 1100kms in odo ! used M45 both F and R
    3.00 - 18 and 4.00 -18

starting from 1 kms in the new tyre , i heard a loud noise from the Front tyre at the speed between 55 to 65 kmph . rode with same noise for 120 kms !
the sound was still there !

so checked the tyre with regional manager ! as per the rules and regulations of WARRANTY he got back the tyre and gave me a new 3.00-18 M45 !

again there was a issue with the tyre ! same noise was there and the left edge of the tyre came out while riding down hill and just escaped from crash !

so i experienced some sort of issues with two M45 3.00-18 !

is it the issue with tyre or Alloys ?

just now bought Stock 80/100-18 MRF tyres and got it fitted !

now there is no issue with stock tyre and there is no noise from tyre !

hmm.. thats the BEST solution.. (keeping two sets of tyres).... but actually.. Preparing the Bike for Rally is very costly... moreover i have to do some engine works also...
So, very much into financial pressure... as i'm a student..
                You can understand Dada..
                Thats y.... opting for a dual-purpose tyre..
nyways... If i dont get the SIRAC STREET's.... i'll go for MRF METEOR & MICHELIN M62 GAZELLE..
Yes , I understand perfectly ... everyone was a student once , and even the finance minister has to work with a limited budget . I am impressed that you maintain your enthusiasm for the motorcycling sport despite odds . Bravo ! I have never done a rally and I am curious , what other preparations do you make for such ... and how is the experience ?

Michelin M45 is a tubed tyre . While they may work good on some rims for sometime , tubed tyres may not always have enough sidewall strength to be used tubelessly . It is inherently risky to use a tyre out of the manufacturers specifications . My guess is that your front m45 was bulging in it's side and rubbing on the forks etc ... or simply not snug enough on the rims . I am surprised that Michelin gave you warranty for their m45 being used tubeless . It's good that you are safe .

all w.r.t a 220...saurabh the pirellis are better than zappers in monsoons but i dont think they would be better than the sirac...
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

i think.. it is because you UPSIZED your Front tyre.. from 2.75 to 3.00..!!
just fit your stock 2.75 tyre or another M45 2.75 tyre.. n check....

Yes. Pirellis are better than Zappers in the wet.

                        They're better than IRCs too.

I prefer them over the knobby Siracs too.
