    1. Dealer is not interested, he just wants to change the tyre again. I'm just gonna wear this tyre through, if the problem persists in my third Sirac as well will give you heads up then.

    2. 100/90-17 and 3.00-17, man again nothing for the Pulsar 220/200 and RTRs!

100/90-18 Pilot sporty and sirac are there. Am using pilot sporty on my RTR, Am not much happy with its grip level's too! It keeps sliding under high speed cornorering. Expect that no other issue's with it!

        • The rear tire on my Suzuki Fiero desperately needs a change. I've been riding on the factory fitted tires for a lil over 32000 kms (since 2001).

I was suggested the Sirac (michelin IIRC) for the rear tire. Please let me know if this is a good brand. I only ride in the city. My bike has steel rims which came factory fitted and so i think its best to go for tube type tires since i wont be upgrading to alloys.

P.S. Can i upsize the rear tire for more grip without compromising on handling?

The front tire still looks good and should last another couple of 1000 kms so that wont be seeing a change soon.

          Please suggest. Thanks.

The Sirac was an offroading tyre&is now discontinued. It has been replaced by Sirac Street, which is on&off road tyre.
Please view the Fiero thread, Michelin is the best option for Fieros.
I have recently gone for Michelin M45 for the front&Sirac Street for the rear of my Fiero F2.
            Sizes are 2.75 and 3.00 front&rear respectively.
Other cheaper/similarly priced options are Dunlop, MRF Zappers.
Please use the Search feature in the Fiero thread, we have discussed this a few pages ago.

Only 100/90 18 Sirac is discontinued. 120/80 18 SIRAC and 120/90 17 SIRAC are very much available in the market. SIRAC Street coexist with the SIRAC but in different sizes ( 2.75 18, 3.00 18 and soon 100/90 18 )

If you are not happy with grip levels of Pilot Sporty, something is definitely not right. Please check pressure for tyre. It should be as advised in your bike manual. Also the bead area of the tyre should fit perfectly with the rim. Check for uneven wear. Is it happening across any particular surface?

I was very particular abt tyre seating when i got the tyre changed. No problem with it. I am sticking to the recommended tyre pressure. No uneven wear's as well. Right now am running on a lower pressure.

Only problem, tyre does'nt stick like how M45 does under hard cornoring. Even with pillion. Rest, am satisfied!

In my case, i found pilot sporty to be low on staright line grip than geo cruiser, good on curves while riding solo. Haven't ridden with pillion though.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

R15 has MRF Zapper S . its suitable for P150 costs abt 2050/-in chennai. But soft material , goes off fastly ....

I prefer to go for CEAT VERTIGO sports...Its tubeless and costs abt 1700/- with lifetime warranty... i have done 500 kms in this tyre till now, believe me i got a better grip than Zapper C (stock one).. The block pattern is also cool and i just sleep in corners ... If your looking for a tyre which has good grip in wet and dry conditions and good handling at corners, eyes closed and go for this.

P.S. Its a dual purpose tyre .. even suitable for very rough roads ....

i was waiting for your review. hope mine is one off case...anyways am not cornoring much. Am just commuting. I had used a Vee Rubber 110/80 TL previously. It was a very good tyre, so tend to compare it with pilot sporty. Straight Line stability is def lesser than vee rubber coz of the lesser contact patch!

                          • Which would be the best tires for an rx100? My needs are that they should handle offroading with ease and should be good with wet roads.

My friend recommended MRF RIB 2.75 for the front and MRF nylogrip S 3.17 for the rear.

What shall be the best combo for my needs?
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

I personally dont like its bubble tread pattern. wont it affect the acceleration? I am thinking of going for R15 combination but still the rear one is undecided I prefer soft compound one and tyre life i expect is 15k kms.
BTW i thought you are running on Zappers, have you changed to CEAT?
