  • Hi friends,

I am looking for a replacement for my apache 180 rtr's rear tyre.. I saw that Pirelli has the model 'Scorpion Sport daemon' for on/off-road with a size of 130/90-17". The stock tyre coming with apache rtr 180 is 110/90-17". So would this tyre fit without any problems on Apache 180 ?

Any idea on how this tyre is and the performance ? It seems to be good with more area of contact on-surface. Putting a 130 in place of 110 won't be much of a problem, isnt it ? I dont want to go for a lesser width than the stock size (110). I don't mind if its costlier than others since i'm looking for the best grip.. Apache tyres sucks big time.. and skids frequently.. i would have lost my life once when a lorry came opposite in the wrong side and the bike skid when i breaked. The worst point was it was in summer when the roads were really dry

I can also checkout any other tyre manufacturer models which you guys suggest.. But i thought Pirelli had the best grip even if its a bit coslty

I really appreciate your inputs .. thanks a lot..

      • CB Twister Rear Tyre Replacement

Hi to all the Mods and all the Seniors and Juniors too...

I am a newbie in this forum. This is my first post....

I have owned a CB twister two months ago. Everything is working very fine.
It has a average of 65-70 on Highway..I am very much impressed with it.

I did some tweaks to it..like lightings, paints, horn...

I want to change the rear tyre. I know that it will surely decrease the average but I want to change little big tyre. The size of rear tyre is 80/100 17". I asked to my friend who has R15.. he told me that I can fit 100/80 17" tyre.. I searched in the marked but I can find other sizes but I didnt find that..So, would u suggest which size is accurate for the rim..Actually I dont want to change the rim...

        Thanks in advance...

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Actually, I am not from India. I am from Nepal. Tyres are not likely available in Nepal markets as India.

I really dont want to mess with RIM..and I want to fit a bigger tyre on it which has 80/100 17" initially...
Please suggest me Which size is fitted?? One Shopkeeper said 100/90 17" also gets fitted but I dont know...SO i am in search of Answer..

                  • @GoGreen: Thank you very much for your suggestion, I finally went for Michelin M45 2.75*18" for the front, and Michelin Sirac Street 3.00*18" for the rear of my Fiero F2. I have PMed you also, w.r.t. the price I paid.
Initial observation is: The front tyre is soft compound&grips like a leech. Rear is slightly wobbly as of now, but I have been told that it sets onto the rim after 400kms.of usage. I got the rims throughed&put the tyres on.

My bike, pulsar 150 ug3 has this type of tyre...All 150cc pulsars/Honda dazzler have this size ....

                          100/90 17"

Here in this sizes you can go for :

Ceat Vertigo(Tubeless) best for rough roads and last longer with good grip.

Mrf zapper C (Tube) Good one to go too but life span is less though grip is good

Tvs - When nothing is available, you can go for this brand....

Dunlop : Decent enough to go for...

                          Ceat Vertigo :

100/80.. It means width of tyre is 100mm and 80 refers to height of sidewall which is 80 percent of the width in this case.
17- diameter of wheel in inches.
The stock tyre of R15 is 100/80-17..

Dazzler has got 110/80 dude. Dont go for tvs tyres at any cost. They are just for name sake. Good for nothing.
