Go for PSD 100/90 front and 130/80 rear. It will reduce acceleration and top-end a little. But u will be blown away by the handling it will offer. My friend has a RTR180 with similar set-up and it kicks butt.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Tyres for 150 ug3
Guys, my rear tyre of pulsar 150 ug3 has worn out completly , and only the side grip is thr at present . In chennai , the tyre rates are quite high .
MRF zapper costs around Rs.2300 (FOR REAR ALONE)
Ceat Tubeless comes around Rs. 1700
Dunlop around Rs.1300
Now, apart from Mrf , which other brand can i go for ?? ( my budget is 1500 rs ...)
Also , can anyone suggest which tyres can i put ??

@Swaroopce
If its MRF then go for dazzler's rear tyre which is 110/80 tubeless.. For front R15's front one 80/90 will be perfect.
2300 seems to be quite high. Here 120/80 zapper vyde costs almost the same.Last edited by Prabhakar150; 11-06-2010, 10:51 PM.

Guys , i have a problem with my bike's rear tyre. A couple of weeks back noticed the air was constantly leaking , i took it to a puncture repair shop and found 2 punctures in the tyre , got 'em fixed. but since then , everyday i find the air in the tyre to be less , so i have to get the air filled daily. i am unable to find the problem.
.. need some help on this.
God left this place a long time ago..

Changed the rear tyre from Veerubber 110/80 to michellen pilot sporty 100/90 on sunday. Costed me 1950 + 150 for the valve. Vee rubber lasted for 18k kms but i dragged it till abt 22k kms (short on budget). I wanted Sirac Street 100/90 but the shop keeper still did'nt get the stock. I did'nt want to wait so i choose this.
VeeRubber when it was new! Right pic........vee rubber @ 22k kms
Pilot Sporty at 58k kms!

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

@onlinesatish: Rey Satti, where are you getting all these tyres in Hyderabad?
I want Michelin tyres for my old TVS bike. Can you find out how much they cost?
front Michelin M45 2.75*18"
rear Michelin M45 3.00*18"
plus tubes F&R.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

@All: I've been thinking of tyre replacement for my Fiero F2.
Stock sizes of the Fiero are 2.75&3.00*18", whereas in case of the F2, the front remains the same, but rear is 90/90/18". 90/90/18" is midway between 3.00&100/90/18", the latter I'm running on my bike currently-Dunlop GeoCruiser.
After having tried out the above, I have been thinking whether to go in for a smaller 3.00*18" (76.2mm.)for which tubes will be easily available, or for a 3.25*18"(82.5mm) for which tubes may not be so easily available.
Have a look at this link, which shows that 90/90/18" translates to around 81mm. and by that logic 3.00*18" will come to 82.5mm which is very close (100/90/18" is around 90mm.so off the mark there): Motorcycle Tire Sizes - webBikeWorld
There is one MRF Zapper Q, which is available in 90/90/18" stock spec, but not readily available. Even if I order for it, tubes will be an issue later on. So unable to decide. Michelin has 3.25"18" in M45 which is a really good tyre. But there again availability of 3.25*18" is an issue.
What do you suggest? I don't want to go for TVS tyres in anycase!Quench my thirst with gasoline!

M45's i dont know the exact rate but approximately 2.75 is around 1250rs and 3.00 is around 1400rs. tube would cost between 150-250rs depending upon the brand and quality.

Either go for Zapper Q 90/90 or M45 3.25 Anna. Am sure you wont have much difficulty in finding tubes. Besides you wont be chaning it frequently. Buy a spare tube and stock it with you Anna. my friend is using 3.25 M45 on his Gladiator and must say the handling has improved tremendously!
Now the choice has to be made between M45&Zapper Q for the rear.
I will put both of the same company obviously. Zapper Q seems to be out of stock as usual at MRF. Koti might have or able to order. I was weighing pros&cons&felt that if I go for 90/90/18" Zapper Q, I can get tubes more easily as the same size will be available in TVS also. M45 is only 1.5mm wider-no issues on that too. Moreover last time I played around with GeoCruiser 100/90/18" so I'm more keen on sticking to stock size now.
