Just bought a SIRAC 100/19-18 tubeless tyre for my xtreme---Using it with a tube (will using tube in a tubeless tyre cause any problem).I bought the tyre for Rs 2300 is the price right?.

The shopkeeper said no front tyre(2.75X18) is available in the market from michilen is this true?
thalaiva, vangitigala? Am still in confusion between Sirac and pilot sporty.... And i dont think using a tube would be a problem!

But ofcourse you can try and locate the 100/90 18 Sirac, though it would be difficult to spot. The grip should be good inboth the cases for both dry and wet surfaces.
Thank you sir. Just one more question......which one fares better in all three situations, dry, wet and gravel? this would be the deciding factor for me!

Any dealer that you know who has both these tyres in hyderbad?

amam paa ore oru piece than erunthathu---athanale yosikkama vangitten .
The guy who changed the tyre said some bearing is gone and i need to change it immediately(if not he said this new tyre too will become bald soon)---the stock tyre only lasted for 25000kms.

the dealer insisted that i do not use SIRAC with tube and to change it to tubeless as soon as possible---Anyway its nice to hear that its not a problem.

        Just joined the forum.

Need guidance on all options for my P200 (2007 edition) Tyres available presently and most importantly where I may buy them - specifically in and around West Delhi.

I would especially like to know options available with front tyres (for better and longer lasting stopping power) as the default 90/90/17 MRF Tubeless is a scary skidder, considering my weight coupled with the Bike's (No laughs please!), and more so with even minute sand / dust (on the dry) and loose gravel (on the wet) Delhi Roads.

My driving currently consists mostly of commuting 50 kms every day in stop-start traffic. I have done 21k+ so far.

        Thanks in advance.
        No input, anyone?

There is no one best tyre for all three conditions. . For dry and wet, try Pilot Sporty. For Gravel, bad roads, mixed roads, go for SIRAC Street.

Try Kamal Motors in HYD or call our account manager, Mr. Rajesh 09703514555 who will help you locate a Dealer nearby.

That is not true. Go for 2.75 18 SIRAC Street to match the rear or M62. You can mail me your city and contact details when you want to buy a tyre, and I will help you locate a dealer.

                Hi Gaurav,

Do you have any plans to launch a 100/80 17 (which can be used for the rear of the R15) ? Currently the stock MRFs are impossible to get & people either buy them at nearly twice the price or shift to alternate sizes. There is a massive demand supply mismatch in the market.

I can tell you a location (Karol Bagh) but it is not in West Delhi.
Going to Karol Bagh is advantageous as there are many tyre shops in a line and a lot of variety is available.

Regarding the tyres, AFAIK are not too many options.
You have the default 90/90 MRF Zapper, then there is an IRC WildFlare or something like it, but difficult to find methinks.

If you really want lots of grip at the front then put in an R15 front tyre but be prepared for it looking a bit skinny on the bike.

                  • I am planning to change the rear tyre of my Yamaha Fazer. Should I use the stock one or change to MRF Zapper Q (140/70 - 17)?

Yes. We are aware of this. However, the volumes of R15 are too small at the moment.

Looks like I will have to convince more people to buy the R15 then !

I agree the sales volumes for the R15 are less compared to the Pulsars, Karizmas & RTRs. However I feel that the number of R15 owners who would go in for a Michelin would be more or less the same as what you currently have for the Pulsars, Karizmas & RTRs market.

In other words, based on my understanding of the market, you have a large percentage of a smaller group (i.e. R15 owners) who are looking for a good alternative to the stock tyres as an untapped market. Michelin is currently catering to a smaller percentage of a larger group (i.e. Pulsars, Karizmas & RTR owners) who are looking for an alternative. Most people in the latter category (talking about the general public here and not the xbhp crowd) would prefer to stick to the stock tyres when it is time for an upgrade.

I agree with you and we will keep this in mind. In the meantime, we do have few qty of Pilot Sporty ( 100/80 17 )with us and it is available strictly on pre ordering basis. If you are interested, send me your details with city to [email protected]
