what wil be the best tubeless tyre and how much will be the cost . waiting for replies from bike gurus
HI Raghav
I am using CEAT Vertigo sports 100/90 - 17 tube less rear on my P 180 UG3..its dual purpose and good in muddy and wet roads, gravel..costed me around 1600 + 50 rs special tubeless valve.
For front I am still using stock 2.75 X 17 but I have seen following MRF tubeless tyres recently not sure if they are availabe at MRF dealer
80/100 - 17 ( CBF stunner front )
70/100 - 17 ( Honda Twister front )
90/90 - 17 (P200 - it will be wider for 2.75/17 so no use but if above 2 are not avaialbe can consider this )
looking at them 80/100 - 17 looks equivalent to 2.75 X 17 while 70/100 - 17 seems closer by calculations
2.75 17
Tyre width 2.75 Inches, Sidewall height 100% = 2.75 inches, Rim size 17inch.
1 inch = 25.4 mm
Therefore
25.4 X 2.75 / 25.4 X 2.75 17 =
69.85/69.85 17
Rounded off 70/70 17 equal to 70/100 17 (70 mm base and 100 % side wall i.e 70 mm )
but by look 70/100 - 17 looks bit smaller...very less noticable difference in 80/100 and 70/100...so you can enquire abt this at MRF delaers..they will guide you to choose from 80/100 or 70/100......I personally think 80/100 - 17 is replacement to stock 2.75 x 17..........
do let me know what you find...........coz I am also planning to change front in couple of months
hope this info is useful..........best luck.......

Does anyone know how much the stock front tyre of the R15 costs ? What about its availability in Bangalore ? Mine looks like it needs to be replaced in another 1 - 2 k.
Out of curiosity does anyone know how much the Dazzlers MRF 110 / 80 - 17 rear costs ? Im currently using MRFs 100/90 - 17 for the rear and except for the raised rear height which puts a little more pressure on my wrists, Im quite happy with the tyre.

I don't know, what MRF is thinking.. if there is demand.. why are they not making tires??
any pointer to IRC or some other dealers??????
No idea..you might need to go to Nana peth and check there...any possibility of getting MRF's in Honda shorooms or their spare stores ? because stunner and twister are using MRF front tubeless equivalent to 2.75 X 17.

guys i visited a shop bike shop today, he told me tht pulsar 150 dtsi [2005 model] can fitted with front 100/90 17 and rear 140/80!!!.
he quoted me irc 120/80 tl for about 3200. is it correct amount he is asking tht too there is no warranty on tyre.
though mrf is avaliable to me at 1540 [90/90 17tl] and 1750 [110/80 17 tl] and ceat is available at 1700
Micheline sirac comes with 120/90 will they fit into rear.

Hey guys!
Im Planning to change my Stock tyres on the GS to Tubeless. I own a GS 150R. Im looking for City and Mild touring Tyres. Would a sticky compound tyres help?
If yes can someone guide me in this? I was offered Michelin PILOT (??) 100/90 at 2.2K here in Chennai (hardeep, GP road)
IS this a good deal?

as far as tyres - go for the zmr tyre it is of the same size and is tubeless. ceat vertigo is tubeless only in 120 size which might be an overkill for the gs. the sirac 100/90 street has been launched but is a tubed tyre. check if it can be used a tubeless tyre like the 120/80 sirac. you also have a front tyre sirac which is tubeless and 100/90 size. not a lot of options for 18inch wheels. if you are cool with 120/90 size then there are a couple of options such as the sirac and the vertigo. I would suggest that you stick to stock size.
