  • Please Suggest Tyre for Ambition for Hill Riding

I wish to change the tyres of my Hero Honda Ambition for riding it to Ladakh.

Please suggest suitable tyres - make and estimated price for both front and rear wheels.

I plan to retain the original bike rims.

      • Got myself the Michelin Sirac 120x90x17. Total Cost: 2650 (Tyre 2600 + Labour 50). Didn't need the valve as using the same one from my out of shape MRF .

The old tube can reduce the life of your new tyre. why save pennies when u can save pounds ?

What tube? It is tubeless. Was referring to the valve of the tubeless MRF that I discarded .

                      hello friends

i have seen a crack on my rear tyre i am also posting a pic of the crack i dot know what to do, the air leaks regulary, i need to refill the tyre every 3-4 days. i have done around 6000 kms on my bike. The tyre shop person asks me to change the tyre but my mechanic says it can be treated with a thick heat patch from inside.

When you visit a mechanic, ask him to repair using a mushroom patch. This is the right way to repair this tyre.

By the way, is that a Pirelli Scorpion ?

Sirac is a bit heavier tyre, might hamper the performance. My 10 cents on the m45 as its much more light weight and greater load carrying capacity and top of all it has good grip. Moreover razor anna has been using the m45 in his rtr for quite some time

Please let me know what is the Best tire which can handle Khardung la - Manali off road sector as well as the Manali - Kanyakumari Tarmac sector.
Also going for a different tire set up for these 2 conditions (change of tire in Manali) will be better.
