Checked out some of the tyres available at AutoQueen. The pic on the left is of the Pirelli MT90 100/90/18 (Rs 2000) which is a rear tyre that can be used on Pulsars / other 18's. The pic in the centre is of the Pirelli Scorpion 90/90/18 (Rs 1950) which can be used as a front tyre.
The tyre on the right is the Pirelli MT 75 100/80/17 which can be used as the rear tyre of the R15 (Rs 1900).

Also it is a hard compound, but still offers you good grip.
It is the same tyre which they use in the Ninja 250.

Changed my rear tyre to a Michelin Sirac 120/80. Any suggestions for a 'tubeless' front tyre? Currently running on stock - MRF - 3.00 - 100/80 - Tubeless.
Tried Michelin M62 - 100/80 - But that could not be converted as a tubeless. And Tuff Up tube from Honda ain't available in Chennai. Need a Tubeless alternative.
P.S: I ride a HH Karizma ZMRPhoto Gallery[/B]

Checked out the Michelin Sirac 120x90x17 at Premji. The pricing was Rs.2600.
Worth the buy? Thinking of going for this tyre as the Pirelli's are way too expensive and don't wanna go for MRF. Please suggest if this is the right course of action.
Another thing, I haven't yet found anyone who does wheel balancing for bikes. Can someone tell me where I could go for wheel balancing in Mumbai? (anywhere in Mumbai is fine, me that despo right now! :P)

Hi Ananz ! Can u post some pics of both these tyres depicting their thread pattern, I've purchased a p220F last month & is not convinced by IRC's abilities for 90/90 & 120/80 combination... May be your combo will work for me too.
Plz post it dear, & also - how much did these pair cost u ? I reside in Hyd so have to check local pricing with PBK here. You must be the change you wish to see in the world

Rate the expectation from a tyre in order of preference ?
Mileage - 4 (No point in reducing mileage and incurring extra costs!)
Comfort - 5
Dry Grip - 3 (Lower rating as probably all tyres have acceptable grip on dry)
Wet/Gravel Grip - 6 (Very very important especially during rains or construction zones)
Braking distance - 2
Tyre tread design - 1 (matters the least as not always we have a choice in tyres!)Last edited by chicmagnet; 05-26-2010, 03:35 PM.
