From the picture, I see some uneven wear on the pattern. Uneven wear is common for front tyres without a rib marking in the centre, however it should in no way cause any loss in biking performance or be a cause for instability of the bike. Only in case if it is, then you should be concerned about it.

I went to a tyre shop where the owner claimed that it is the best tyre for wet road. The price was 900. I am not sure if its the right price and the right tyre. When i asked about michelin, he said i am the first customer who has asked 4 michelin.

i've got just the links for you

check out the kit contents below:
Tubeless Tyre Repair Kit,Tubeless Tyre Repair Tool Kit Manufacturers,Suppliers

kit would cost you somewhere between 200-500Rs

And this is how you use it..same procedure for Bike tyres aswell.

I would personally recommend a footpump(which also has the pressure gauge) to be carried along with the kit.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

              • Replace tyres for Apache RTR 180

                Hi,
I have a 4 month old Apache RTR 180(Mumbai). As we all know the default TVS tyres provided as not the greatest.

I wanted assistance with replacing the tyres. What would be the best option keeping in mind all weather conditions and how can i maitain my tyre and increase its life.

                • Guys, need help with tyres for my 2006 P180 DTSi. Its run around 28600+ kms till now on stock tyres. I need to change the rear tyres in two or three days, and front also in the coming weeks.

                  Stock- 100/90 17 Zapper C Rear. 90/90 17 Zapper FS front.

READ the forum, but all this has left me even more confused on which one will best suit me.

                  Requirements-
                  • Cornering grip is not a big priority, but i need good stability. Average speeds around 60+, and i like the occassional clean corners. But usually, more of a cruiser than a stunter.
                  • Braking grip on sands/wet surfaces. (IMO stock Zapper-C does not grip under hard braking)

                  Options-
Went to a few shops, and saw these-
                  Rear-
                  • MRF Zapper C TT/TL.
                  • MRF Meteor 100/90 TT (Looked good and wide, and felt soft than my stocktzapper!). How is the performance of this tyre?
                  • Dunlop Monster. (Felt almost like Meteor)
                  • Michelin shop told they dont have anything in 17, only for 18!

                  Front-
                  • MRF Zapper FS 90/90 17

Which of these would suit my requirements? As of now, i am thinking between Dunlop Monster/ MRF Meteor. Any other brands i should consider? Since i dont know the city too much, it would be good if someone from Chennai can point out some good shops as well.

                    ??
It does have a rib in the centre.

                    Its T\L

With 28psi the bulges are not very noticable . But as the tyre heats up its very much noticeable. It had 0 puncture aswell

In Assam. Dibrugarh. The shop deals in two wheeler spares. I guess, Michelin is nonexistant in this part of the world. Can you suggest me name of a dealer who could possibly courier the tyre to me. I am thinking of changing the tyre before monsoon hits. Raj.

Guys, How many kms does the R15 tyres lastunder normal driving conditions?

Also, will it make a big difference in top-speed (reduction) due to the tyres being one size less than my stock tyres?

I have these tires on my pulsar 200.

They last about 8000kms. The drop in top speed or acceleration is not noticeable at all.

These tires make the bike a lot more flickable, also with a stiffer suspension makes the bike a lot more planted in corners.
