I don't need its longevity.only thing is how will it perform in offroad roads haven't tested yet,but I think soft compound tires give more grip on water then the hard compound tire which I have felt.

@DCS bhai: Sirac is an awesome tire ,nice choice there but don't know is't a tubeless or tube tire ?
Contact Pranay if you want more details. He had this tyre for the Leh trip and he was more than satisfied with the overall experience!

      • DCS: Sirjee, wudn't the 100/90 upfront be a little big..?? I presume it wud hamper handling a bit..!!

I had also changed the front tyre recently to Michelin M35 in the stock size i.e 2.75 * 18". Till now the feel of the tyre is good..sticks well.

Its a Michelin Sirac 100/90-18 Tubeless. Cant very well comment upon the abilities and the factors of the tyre as of now. But lets see, let me take this to some good place and see how much it scores over my previous Ceat Vertigo Tubeless 120/80-18 which comfortably did around 20,000 kms without any isue at all.
Speaking about Ceat Vertigos, I have done 14k in those & it looks new.. I mean If i wash it clean, it looks brand new..

          Very nice tyre..

On a contrary.. never use this for front.. One of my old mech's suggested this & this has made my life hell for the past 14k kms this buttons wont really go well with front the ride is all bumpy & handling is gone for hay wire..

I will be changing the front tyre very soon to Dunlop Challenger Rib ?? any thougts on this guys ??

Btw I ride a Classic CBZ & the required size is 2.75x18"

(dcs scratches his head, his nose and then his @$$!!) Where did I say that I had a 100/90-18 for my Front. I am insane but still not been certified to that extent so as to use a 100/90 for front. I said a Michelin Sirac 100/90-18 in replacement to a 120/80-18 from Ceat Vertigo! Only if u thought That I was using the Vertigo in my Front. Man, you have some sense of Humour!

            @ Zyan...It is a TUBELESS!

Oops, I need to Check...is this thread a TYRE FOR FRONT!!!

              • what tyres can i get for P150 17" alloy 90/90 front and 100/90 rear. i would like same size tyres or a 110/90 at rear. normal tube type. my bike has done 39K kms on the original tyres. Still the threads are good but corners have become uneven so i don't feel confident sometimes. So want to change it. One more thing can we do alignment and balancing for bikes. it wobbles while braking hard. i doubt it is because of tyre or alignment.

2.75 18 M62 makes for a great front combination if you have a rear Sirac.

One more thing. Just for the knowledge of everyone on the forum. M45, M62 & M35 in sizes 2.75 18 & 3.00 18 can be used for both Front and Rear.

100/90 18 Sirac is a Front Tyre. I have not heard of too many problems if you use the front tyre at the back. The opposite of this is many times not true. The rear tyre may not always make the best Front Tyre.

A front tyre specified F on th sidewall marking of the tyre. Eg 100/90 - 18 56T SIRAC FRONT TL indicates that this is a Front Tyre which is Tubeless. A tyre specified with R on the sidewall indicates it is a rear tyre. A tyre without a F or R marking indicates it can be used as a Front or Rear Tyre.

Hi good to see you on this forum too!

Can you share any new if the Sirac is launching a 17" variant of front tyres in either 90/90 or 100/80 sizes?

Michelin would not be able to confirm or deny at this point.

Thanks very much for the detailed Info & I really appreciate it.

I have had a look at the M45 in 2.75x18 inch size & the dealer has quoted me 1250 INR.

Only thing i am skeptical about is that it is soft compound & easily prone to Punctures.. correct me If I am wrong.

anyway My front ceat secura is a pure rear tyre.. & it was my foolishness to go ahead with it listening to a dumb mech .

The craziest part is this tyre doesn't seem to worn out soon.. 14k done & it still looks the same as it was when I bought it

I do not have the same feedback about M45 although I do agree that it has a softer compound as compared to the Domestic Brands.

Anyway, my opinion would always be biased, it'd be a better idea to seek an opinion from people who have used M45 in the past. Mind you, be aware of perceptions where people have an opinion from hearsay. It's best to count opinions where people have themselves used a product.
