puncture problem tvs apache
I have a peculiar problem with my TVS apache. I was one of the earliest purchasers of the vehicle - it has a tyre size of 100/80 - 18. Every now and then the tube gets punctured for no reason. I run my other two vehicles on the same road but no punctures.
Not able to get the correct size tube also. If anybody suggest about availability of tubeless tyres for the above size I would be thankful.

What all options are available in tubeless ?
( i will not be converting tube type to tubeless at all)
otherwise i might as well go in for michellin front and rear ..
I once brought it back from kaza with 7 punctures with no issues. Air refill was after every 100 kms
It is actually tough to source a TL in 18 inches. Wish MRF had options there as well. Dont go for a size beyond 110. It will be an overkill!Last edited by kurtrules; 12-16-2009, 12:30 PM." I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not" - Kurt Cobain

paying for over enthu & bit of stupidity
Guys ..a friendly advice...never go for any tyre without atleast doing a preliminary investigation...
my story:
Got pirelli 120/90/17 for R15 rear at a competitive price of 3200 /- from mumbai.
got it fitted at SVC and the performance was quite quite good.rode around for 483 Kms.
here's the sad part now
I was getting my chain sprocket changed at 26k kms.The new chain doesn't allow the 90 section to fit in the existing swingarm. As the tyre was fiited when my chain was at last setting it didn't pose any problems.Even than none of the mechanics told me that this would happen in future ,but I have only myself to blame.
If only the tyre was of 120/80/17 than there wouldn't have been any issues.
I therefore reverted back to old tyre & got the pirelli removed.
As I had contemplated this for a year & still did a mistake I would advice you to be more careful.
I am now in the process of selling of the tyre.sigpic

Not that I am trying to convince you to buy a Michelin, but the height difference between the 120/80 and 120/90 size is 12mm or 1.2 cm.
Is that much of a height difference noticeable ?

^Well I have to change the rear tyre anyway. And I'm not putting in the Zappers this time. My friends here put the Sirac and I liked it.
Oh well, 120/90 Sirac it is...
For the noticeable part, IDK about others but yes it seems too "thick" when viewed from the side. But no other gripe with it.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER
