Caught Testing again.. Can hear that raspy exhaust note very similar to the Bonneville range.

Raspy rumble from the exhaust, yes! But is it like the Bonnie? I don't feel so. I am somehow not too pleased with the exhaust note, but a spy video shot in peak hour traffic is no good scale to evaluate the exhaust note. I would love to be proved wrong though.

And, did you notice the way in which the Interceptor flowed through traffic and left the GT650 far behind? That was really impressive.

I meant to say the similar 270 degree crank type exhaust note. But I feel the 650 twins have a bit more louder note than the Bonnevilles, because in good traffic and sub standard sound recording equipment, we were able to listen to that roar easily.

I noticed that too guess it has a 0-100kmph of around 6 seconds, I reckon. Nimble handling and good acceleration indeed!

Oh that way, I would agree too. I am no expert to comment on crank angles and exhaust notes - as all my knowledge on twin cylinder motorcycles is just through the internet But the twins sure do sound loud - which is a good way to distinguish itself. I too am guessing a 6.xx second 0-100, as the Himalayan does the ton in 8.xx seconds.

For now Its scheduled for 22 September launch in the the UK. In India, they are saying it’s going to be in the end of December, not sure though.

What I remember reading is that RE has invited the Global media for test rides between Sep 22 and Sep 26, and the launch would be around festival time in India - which happens to be early November.

Initial batch of these bikes will be buggy for sure.

Quality or the lack of it is a major problem with RE.
After sales service is still in the Neanderthal era.
Someone rightly said that remove self start and RE sales will drop.
But I'd like to own a TB 500. I quite like the bike and the ergo and torque.
Yes, it does vibrate but it can cruise nicely and has less tech involved making it a simpler bike.
With 650 twins, RE is punching way above it's limits and they seriously need to UP their sales and service.
                          Regards,
                          Akash Yadav

The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.
