RSU is Rear Suspension Unit. After market performance suspension with features like compression adjustment and all. The dimensions match the OEM suspension.

Oh their scratching their heads mate. Also I don't think Triumph might give their Bonnie parallel twins to Bajaj. So for another two years upto early 2021, Royal Enfield is gonna rake in the moolah smoothly!

Yeah, They better work quick the market is getting crowded with retros. Huskys (although indirectly owned by Bajaj still a competition) Benelli with it's imperial 400 and lenchino 500, FB Mondial 250hp, Jawa, BSA and Yezdi on the horizon too. I'm really curious about what they're gonna do. Bajaj already has ktm single for the sub 400cc seeing RE launching the twins and actively re-working on the 350 engine I wonder what powertrain they would bring out next a single? or make a twin? or maybe a triple if it's a premium product.

So finally booked Continental GT650, test rides were not available they said they ll call me when they are then I can take a call if I want to cancel or change. Delivery time they have told me is Mid January.

Took the interceptor for a spin yesterday.....it doesn't feel like an enfield at all.
The motor is well put and smooth. Throttle response is excellent....the bike threw me back couple of times....the torque spread is linear and the pull is excellent.
Braking is good although ABS kicks in sooner than expected.

Although, being 5'6" i was a bit uncomfortable with the weight while taking slow turns with foot down....the footpegs kinda scraped the legs.

Didn't actually book it as i am in no hurry and want to wait for the bike to hit the streets and keep an eye for the actual feedback from the owners.

I received a similar call from the dealership and got informed on the same. Now I am loosing confidence on Royal enfield, they are implementing the same demand creation technique once they used for Classic 350/500. Eventhough they had the oragadam facility in 2014 they constantly used to give a month or two as waiting period.

I cant understand onething, why have they not mentioned about this during the launch when they had the first few bookings. They waited till all their bookings are done in the first two weeks and then announce that custom colours are available only in april and now say that if you want January delivery you can go for basic colors, are they pushing indian customers to basic colors and exporting custom colors to Overseas, i saw many people booking only custom colors on the launch day.

Very disappointing on what they are doing as a company, planning to mail royal enfield team on this. If there is no proper reply from them I might quit buying this. I feel as a company they are using the same techniques they used for their older models and i feel not to trust them anymore.

I took a short TD yesterday and felt the same discomfort while taking a U turn . Also did anyone feel the GC of the twins to be less than even Classic and hence could lead to silencer scrapping at speedbrakers or routes like Leh

Ground clearance of classic is 135, while Ground clearance of twins are 174 mm

Well it depends on how they measure that. Do they check from ground to which ever part is nearest to ground or from ground to base of engine. In Interceptor the exhaust is lower than the base of engine. In Classic it not as low. That's why mentioned that the silencer will scrape first.

I feel that they're extending the dates as a precaution to avoid disappointing customers. Usually they'll deliver before a month or two, that's how I got my Desert Strom. But you do have a point, They knew about the strike before the launch they should've given us a heads-up about a delay. I'll too shoot a mail let them know how disappointed I am.
On a lighter note, I saw some members on Team-bhp saying they are getting 25% discount codes though email for those who booked the twins anyone else got it? I sure didn't. I'd like to snatch that leather jacket at 25% discount.

It's not a discount coupon. It's a combo deal. If you buy a Bike and add merchandise or gear to your purchase worth about 2000 then you get 20% discount on the product alone, if over 5000 then it's 25% discount on the product alone. No need for any code, just approach your sales guy and ask him for the combo offer.

The sales guy was explaining it to a customer and I was also present there. Even if you don't have the email and code you can avail the offer. I was getting similar offer with booking of REH.
