I saw the zigwheel review in YT. Nice and crisp review. It was great to see him put a mug on top of the tank and rev the sh*t out. The mug did not even budge. Amazing!! Can't expect it from my C500 on idle.

Even though the bike is heavier than D390, the stopping distance is lesser. Overall impressive.

You mean about waiting for RE to weed out the niggles? Sure but consider this. RE wanted to make a punch line. Because for a layman the Punch line is what will make or break the story and rest of the story is ignored. So they deliberately played with ex showroom price to have Base model 2.99 lacs on road all over India. This is the punch line and intended to catch eyeballs. but how long will RE sustain such pricing? Demand and supply. Once the initial hoopla is over, RE will start to slowly increase the prices every year (may be as early as march?). So if you wait 2 years "may be" you get a better product, but probably they have increased the price by 10%.

If you want the VFM, then you should be willing to risk it.

Remember what Ford Ecosport did. it was the VFM king at launch, the 7lacs SUV, but not any more

Congratulations Brother. I booked the Interceptor 650 - Ravishing Red yesterday. I also test drove the Interceptor 650 yesterday itself, I have to say that my face had a big smile after the test drive, it definitely did not feel like Royal enfield something else altogether.

Onroad- 2,97,456 for the Dual colors.

Visited a RE showroom in Bangalore today to look at the Twins. If I wasn’t sold to the Interceptor already, now I am. It looks so well built and I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The salesperson was more than eager to show the bike and even offered the keys for me to switch it on and hear the engine come to life. I felt the idle revs were a bit too much for a demo bike (the idle rpm was 1800-2000), so there was some stress on the engine.

I’ll wait for the initial excitement to cool off, take the test ride and see if I really want to book the bike.

You will get a big smile once you complete your test drive. Its a proud moment to drive a Indian bike and feel this way.

Exactly! There is a trade off for evey decision. After the Himalayan debacle I doubt RE would risk it. I remember Siddharth in a interview admitting they messed up with the Himalayan and saying that the twins were ready for the market a year ago and yet they kept going with the testing to be sure of course it won't be niggle free, but hopefully it won't be as bad as the Himalayan and with the 3years/40k km warranty with RSA is sure a boon for early adopters.

Today, I visited Sri Velavan Motors, Greams Road, Chennai and checked the new Royal Enfield 650 cc Twins. I really liked Interceptor. I sat on it and felt fully comfortable on the single narrow seat. I was told the Chennai on-road price is just less than ₹ 3 lakhs, which is very attractive and tempting. Now, I know, what is in store for me in 2019!

Some how the same story with Dominar400 and Duke200.

You can't bet your money on a RE product. I don't want to leave home on two working cylinders and came back on one.

Rather I will take the Jawa home.
